Château de la Mothe-Chandeniers, a true embodiment of romanticism and history, offers a captivating view as you stand by its ancient moat. Nature has woven its magic here, with resilient trees and greenery taking root within the protective embrace of the moat's stone walls. These towering sentinels of nature's reclamation tell a story of resilience and transformation, echoing the chateau's own storied past. As you gaze across the reflective waters, the château's graceful turrets and weathered façade rise from the moat, evoking a sense of timelessness and wonder. Paris, France - April 2020: during the COVID-19 lockdown, on the exit allowance time, a senior man is walking around the Basilica of the Sacred Heart (Basilique du Sacré-Cœur) in Montmartre, within the allowed 1 km distance from home. The church Saint-Pierre de Montmartre is standing on the background.

St. Bernard de Clairvaux Church is a medieval Spanish monastery cloister which was built in the town of Sacramenia in Segovia, Spain, in the 12th century but dismantled in the 20th century and shipped to New York City in the United States. It was eventually reassembled at 16711 West Dixie Highway, North Miami Beach, Florida, where it is now an Episcopal church and tourist attraction called Ancient Spanish Monastery.

It used to be the main Friday prayer mosque in the capital of Crimean Khanate. The earliest known mention of it was in 1674, as a ma'ale mosque (main mosque of the corresponding district). The mosque was in bad condition and its minaret along with some other small surrounding buildings were completely destroyed until the end of 2012 when its reconstruction started.

Bletchley Park was the central site for British (and subsequently, Allied) codebreakers during World War II. It housed the Government Code and Cypher School (GC&CS), which regularly penetrated the secret communications of the Axis Powers – most importantly the German Enigma and Lorenz ciphers. According to the official historian of British Intelligence, the "Ultra" intelligence produced at Bletchley shortened the war by two to four years, and without it the outcome of the war would have been uncertain.

Chersonesos, on the Crimean Peninsula on the Black Sea, was founded by Greek settlers in the fifth century B.C. and was occupied during the Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine eras. It is a uniquely preserved example of an ancient landscape with over 140 stone farmhouses, a grid of country roads, and a network of forts from the Roman and Byzantine periods. In 1400, the city was destroyed by Mongols and not reoccupied. Structures that have survived are often subject to the elements and to crowds of unsupervised visitors. Erosion of the coastline of the Black Sea has undermined major architectural monuments, including the Uvarov Basilica where Christianity was first introduced to the Slavic world. The rapid expansion of Sevastopol, located on a nearby bay, has also threatened the historic landscape of the territory.

Looking up Middle Meadow Walk on a bright winter afternoon, a route that connects the large park of the Meadows to the Old Town, and also runs alongside Edinburgh Uni, so often busy with students. The buildings on the left are from the old Royal Infirmary - the hospital relocated to a new site on the edge of town years ago, these were refurbished and turned into expensive apartments - the historic old stone-built structures, at least. The later buildings were mostly demolished and replaced with contemporary structures, so this site is now a curious mix of beautifully refurbished old stone buildings cheek by jowl with glass and steel modern ones.

Paris, France - April 2020: during the COVID-19 lockdown, a man with beard and airpods is sitting on the Parapet in the forecourt of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart (Basilique du Sacré-Cœur) in Montmartre. A Paris cityscape can be seen on the background, with Centre Pompidou (Beaubourg) clearly visible in the center.

I travelled to this place to spend a meaningful holiday. and I thought this built structure is fine to take into my camera. I adjusted to like this one by using photoshop.
