Frontenac Castle by night. Biggest problem with iconic spots is the lot of tourist and traffic near them. I took this shot at 8 pm, with lot of people and cars. So I had to merge four pictures with the same exposure to be able to remove most of them.

Spectacular it is, the cathedral of Palma de Mallorca. A grandiose building that you would not necessarily expect on this island, almost next to the coast. But there it stands and shies away from the comparison with other houses of worship in any way.
And with a little luck, the Spanish sun shines high in the blue sky and sends its bright rays into the high nave, creating a unique atmosphere.

Late in the evening, the Stadthaus Zürich, the Fraumünster, the Münsterbrücke and other buildings are reflected in the calmly flowing Limmat.
The photo was taken from the opposite Limmatquai. A fortunately firmly anchored jetty protrudes into the Limmat and served as a platform for the tripod and me. The long exposure time of course helps to enhance the reflection of the beautiful buildings.

Castel del Monte is a 13th-century citadel and castle situated on a hill in Andria. It was built during the 1240s by the Emperor Frederick II, who had inherited the lands from his mother Constance of Sicily. In the 18th century, the castle's interior marbles and remaining furnishings were removed.

One of the handful of small villages on the island of Husavik. This is pretty deep into Faroese territory. Well, relative to the small size of the Faroes. From Vagar Airport you take the subsea tunnel into neighboring Streymoy Island before catching a ferry across to Sandoy.

Actually just a normal alley in Toulouse. Not ugly, not particularly pretty, just a normal alley. But what a bright spot the fresh, colorful, good-smelling flowers bring to everyday life. The warm light of the store and the colorful flowers magically attracted my eye.
All visitors of Burano remain intrigued by the many colours and the colorful houses that are reflected into the green waters of channels, by the leaning bell tower, by the tranquility and the calmness with which the elderly ladies embroider original Burano lace by their tombolo (or lace pillow), while they are laughing and chatting in squares among them. It seems to be in paradise.
During the blue hour, Hallstatt reveals a quieter side. The village slows down, the streets empty, and artificial light gently takes over from the fading sky. Warm streetlights guide the eye through the narrow road, while the church tower rises calmly from the misty backdrop of the mountains.
This moment was about balance. Cool ambient light meeting warm highlights. Texture in the stone walls, subtle reflections on the asphalt, and depth created by layers of architecture and atmosphere. Nothing dramatic, yet full of presence.
Hallstatt is often photographed for its iconic viewpoints, but scenes like this define its true character. Intimate, timeless, and quietly cinematic.

Tucked away next to a staircase is this wonderful little store, a bright and colorful feast for the eyes in the narrow alley.

Inicio 1921. Finalización 1923
Que os guste: agustín ruiz.
A LOOK AT THE ARCHITECTURE OF MADRID
Our city has a set of styles that have appeared throughout its history.
Its character began in the fifteenth century, up to the present day. Without order and without haste, we will photograph everything that seems relevant and of interest to us.
There would be no modern Madrid without Antonio Palacios, considered one of the most influential architects in the first half of the 20th century. Halfway between modernism and the modern movement. The city is full of historical buildings, jewels of architecture. A city with charm, beauty and history.
We will begin this album with the Matesanz house, a building located at 27 Gran Vía in Madrid, the building is strongly influenced by the Chicago school.
eclectic style. Start 1921. Completion 1923

Likely built between the 6th and the 9th century, at first it welcomed a community of Basilian monks. In the 11th century, it was passed on to the Benedictines, who still own it today, under the Abbey of Montecassino.
Pitigliano is a town in the province of Grosseto, located about 80 kilometres (50 mi) south-east of the city of Grosseto, Tuscany Italy.
The quaint old town is known as the little Jerusalem, for the historical presence of a Jewish community that has always been well integrated into the social context and that has its own synagogue.
Even though at first glance it looks a bit like the distant Eiffel Tower, it is not at all. It's just the pillar of the Passerelle du Palais de Justice in Lyon. Photographed through two pillars at the entrance to the Palais de Justice, and above it arches a wonderfully blue, but also somewhat boring sky.

Exquisite vases on the wall parapets, aerial arches with baroque reliefs and countless statues of ancient Greek gods that adorn the courtyard territory consisting of several descending terraces became an additional decoration of the palace. The sculptures were an exact replica of the ancient sculptures of the Berlin Museum, with the only difference being that ours were gypsum, imitating marble. The park designer introduced his “zest” into the design of the territory. The trick was that the “female” figures were located from the southern part of the palace, where the bedchamber of Maria Feodorovna was located. Statues of male gods "dispersed" from the north side of the palace, respectively, from the side of the emperor's chambers.
Unfortunately, out of almost 30 figures, only six have survived to our times. Surprisingly, they are all paired: two satyrs, two chimeras and two sphinxes. The rest were irretrievably lost, dashing times of wars and revolutions did not spare them.

The Fisherman's House is one of the whims that King Ferdinand VII promoted in the Retiro Park Reserve or area that he delimited from public use, for his personal use and that of his family. The works began in 1817. The house was located on the central island of a pond where it was possible to fish.
