Once it was the main church of Vladimir principality. Its construction was initiated by the glorious Prince Andrei Bogolyubskii in 1158. Its new face the cathedral acquired after the fire of 1185, which had heavily damaged the interior of the church. The heir of Bogolubsky, the Prince Vsevolod the Big Nest, decided to improve the architecture of the cathedral. He surrounded the building by galleries, on the corners of which the new gilded domes appeared. As a result, the cathedral square become even bigger than before and its new look become even more beautiful, more solemn, and more elegant. In 1408 the interior design of the cathedral was taken care by the well-known icon painter, Andrei Rublev and his friend Daniel Chyorny. But unfortunately, the magnificent frescoes have survived only partially: the fires and looting did their work; by the 18th century the cathedral had dilapidated and dreary appearance. Thanks to the restoration of 1888-1891 the Assumption Cathedral received its original look. Today the Assumption Cathedral stands on the top of a high hill and is the integral part of the city’s panorama. The tourists enter through the high tower, which is also a remarkable example of architecture.

Для его украшения были приглашены лучшие зодчие, иконописных и золотых дел мастера из Греции, Германии, Киева и Галича. Здание построили из белого известняка и декорировали каменной резьбой. Позже в великокняжеском соборе венчали на престол и хоронили великих владимирских князей, для чего собор расширили, надстроили и пышно убрали. Главной реликвией была Владимирская икона Божией Матери, позднее переданная в Москву, и находящаяся ныне в храме при Третьяковской галерее.
В 1238 г. татаро-монгольские войска взяли Владимир. Множество горожан вместе с епископом заперлись в соборе, чтобы не сдаться супостату, но воины хана Батыя подожгли храм, и прихожане задохнулись от дыма. Храм обгорел, часть фресок были утеряны, а реликвии похищены, но в 1408 г. сын Дмитрия Донского — князь Василий — взялся восстановить его.
В 17 веке по указанию императрицы Екатерины II и на ее пожертвования был сделан ремонт храма. Тогда средневековый иконостас заменили на новый, барочный, а в начале 20 века находящиеся на нем иконы работы Рублева отправили в Государственный Русский музей и Третьяковскую галерею.
В некрополе захоронены великие князья и духовенство, некоторые из них — святые великомученики. Здесь покоятся основатель Успенского собора князь Андрей Боголюбский, Всеволод Большое Гнездо, его сын и дочь, мученики Митрофан и Патрикий. Паломники приезжают поклониться к частицам мощей святого Александра Невского — полководца, чьи войска одержали победу над тевтонскими рыцарями на Чудском озере, а также останкам святителей Симона, Максима, Серапиона. Здесь также можно приложиться к иконам Боголюбской, Владимирской, Максимовской Божией Матери (это списки со знаменитых оригиналов).

All visitors of Burano remain intrigued by the many colours and the colorful houses that are reflected into the green waters of channels, by the leaning bell tower, by the tranquility and the calmness with which the elderly ladies embroider original Burano lace by their tombolo (or lace pillow), while they are laughing and chatting in squares among them. It seems to be in paradise.

Il villaggio rupestre è situato nell’immediata periferia di Zungri, nel vallone della fiumara Malòpera, sui 490 metri di altitudine. Un centinaio di grotte di varie dimensioni e forme, risalenti sino al Medioevo, sono distribuite in modo disordinato ma sfruttando intelligentemente piccoli pianori e terrazzamenti del costone. Le abitazioni rupestri sorgono accanto ai laboratori artigianali e alle stalle, ai campi coltivati a cereali, ai vigneti e sono collegate dal sistema idrico e dalla viabilità interna. Come in altri casi, il sistema di grotte sul fondo del vallone si pone in stretta relazione con il paese costruito all’aperto più in alto e con il territorio circostante. Скальная деревня расположена в непосредственной близости от Зунгри, в долине реки Малпере, на высоте 490 метров над уровнем моря. Сто пещер разных размеров и форм, относящихся к средневековью, распределяются беспорядочно, но разумно эксплуатируют небольшие равнины и террасы хребта. Скальные жилища стоят рядом с ремесленными мастерскими и конюшнями, зерновыми полями, виноградниками и связаны водной системой и внутренней дорогой.

The house was built in 1917; in the middle of the last century, railway ticket offices were located in this building.

Планетарий находится в здании Николо-Кремлёвской («желтой») церкви на территории исторического кремля Владимира между Рождественским монастырем и зданием исторического музея. Рядом установлен памятник Александру Невскому.
Собственно Николо-Кремлёвская церковь — памятник архитектуры середины XVIII века. Типичный образец бесстолпного летнего посадского храма. Памятник федерального значения.

Described by Goethe as a "sublimely towering, wide-spreading tree of God" and by Victor Hugo as a "gigantic and delicate marvel", the Strasbourg Cathedral is visible far across the plains of Alsace. It can be seen from as far off as the Black Forest or the Vosges Mountains. The reddish-brown sandstone from the Vosges mountains gives the cathedral its distinctive colour.

Palazzo Mezzanotte was built in 1932 to centralise all the market trading places which were spread allover Milan. The new Stock Exchange building fits in a complex urban project planned by the Architect Paolo Mezzanotte. It became an architectural symbol of Fascism. The original structure still maintains its impressive façade of 36 meters. The travertine blocks are combined with allegoric figures symbolising wealth and abundance designed by Leone Lodi e Gemignano Cibau. The sides of the building are adorned with a series of bricks and travertine blocks and an inscription plaque of marble stands out. It represents the Roman Ruins which were discovered during the excavation phase. The final result was a triumph of rationalism which also encompasses classical elements.

Hace tiempo que acabó la misa de ocho, ya no se escuchan las alocadas carreras de los niños ni el murmullo de los corrillos. Solo el eco de pasos de unos amantes resuenan en la distancia mientras hablan de eso que llamamos amor.
El Canal del Diablo es un pintoresco canal artificial en el lado occidental del río Moldava en Praga. Fue creado por los Caballeros Hospitalarios en la Edad Media. El canal tiene 740 m. de largo y su construcción creó una isla artificial en Praga, llamada Kampa.

Деревянная приходская церковь Воскресения уже стояла на месте собора к 1629 году. В 1655 году была написана чудотворная икона Шуйской-Смоленской Божьей Матери иконописцем из Шуи, Герасимом Иконниковым. В 1667 году была возведена каменная церковь взамен деревянной, но сгорела в 1710 году. Строительство современного храма продолжалось в 1792-98 годах на средства прихожан. 19 сентября 1799 года епископ Владимирский и Суздальский Виктор освятил собор. Уцелевший во время пожаров чудотворный образ был перенесён в храм.
