The memory of my lunch box and what my mother put inside it.
The memory of going to baseball games at Westgate Park where I watched Tony Perez play as a minor leaguer. Two of my baseball hero's are pictured here... Ted William and Eddie Mathews (both of San Diego}.
The memory of owning my first pocket knife and wristwatch.
The memory of marbles and all the other games I played.
And lastly the memory of my bullfrog 'Black Jack'. Once homework and chores were finished my parents let me off to the fields and the canyons. The memory of all the snakes, lizards, and insects that I brought home and was allowed to keep. Black Jack shown here was donated to The San Diego Zoo one day and my dad and I were brought back behind the displays to see everything there!

Culgaith Signal Box on Friday 25 March 2016. At this point the S&C was shut north of Appleby so I knew by exploring the area I wasn't going to miss any trains. I was surprised to find the box was still manned. Not sure if this was daytime only or still 24 hours but it must be a long boring shift for the signalman without any trains

IN MEMORY OF......
DON (THE GAFFER) 1934 - 2004 and
NEVILLE (POP) 1928 - 2008
a fitting tribute to both men, as they both worked there for many years, and now they, & the box are gone !
From my ongoing series of public utility boxes - this one for the Boston Mayor's Office Paint Box Program. It's located in Downtown Crossing on Washington Street near the Paramount Theatre.

I bought this in a local craft fair. My husband will tell you that I am totally obsessed with boxes, of any size but only if they are made out of wood.
Box pews in Tetbury's parish church of St Mary the Virgin. In the Cotswolds, UK
Access to the pews down either side of the church is from doors in corridors (or cloisters) that run down each side of the church. Each door gives an entrance to five pews, thus making the collection of alms by the Churchwardens a long and somewhat difficult process.
