Long exposure of the Roomba (vacuum cleaner) doing its thing. I put a board across its path so it was confined to a smaller triangle. Notice the spots where it started to do the spiral thing.
This box holds my money collection. The coins pictured are from Italy and Canada. I also have coins from New Zealand, Sacagawea and James Madison dollars, half dollars, two dollar bills, a peso, and my Grandfather's Vietnam memorial coin!
Mashed-up masterpiece :-)

(Don't miss the rambunctious critter on the bed)
A functional work of art! One-of-a-kind, hand-painted jewelry box that was rescued from a thrift store. Collaged pages from a vintage book adorn this fun and functional jewelry box.
Turtle was lost in the backyard all winter (Oct.8 until found March 1). He didn't dig himself in deep enough & lost top layer of his shell.
This is a medium-sized (roughly 10" x 7" x 5") general-purpose treasure box. I may still add dividers for the jewelry box treatment, we'll see. It's a real multi-species affair, with zebrawood front and back, figured bubinga sides, and a walnut lid.
An assignment for his kindergarten art class. "Put some symbols in and on a box that stand for things you like or aspects of your personality." What does that mean to a five year old?
Well he didn't have any trouble with the concept.
1. "Your tattoo, mommy, as a symbol that I like my mom"
2. "a monster in its nest with its egg"
3. the monster's teeny tiny baby sister
4. a Tyrannosaurus rex that is so big it doesn't even fit on the box and it ate the monster bug and the gigantic snake
5. a gigantic snake
6. a monster bug
This is an Electrical Control Box very similar to the ones in School Lane and Barkfield Lane Formby. It is thought they may have been involved with the timing of street lighting.
This box was made by A Handyside & Co Ltd Derby & London.
We were invited at Monica's place to try out Fox in a Box, a concept where you get a box filled with all the ingredients for a wonderful evening with friends. Needless to say we had lots of fun.
Note: box does *not* include foxy ladies.

They are amazing animals that play an important role in the ecosystems of eastern North America. Unfortunately, the habits and life history characteristics of box turtles make them particularly
susceptible to habitat destruction and exploitation by humans. For that reason, research is needed to determine how humans are impacting box turtle populations and what needs to be done to insure that they remain common for years to come. Please don't take one from the wild to make a pet........

Trinket boxes that I made for my Etsy Shop, www.etsy.com/shop/terrigordon, I will be listing these this evening. These are pale blue, I have used french journal paper, vintage lace, heart shells, flowers with rhinestones and some have tiny bird nests. Blogged about designsbyterrigordon.blogspot.com/
