Painted wooden boxes. Smaller box with one dog is 3¼" square and 1½" deep. Larger box with 2 dogs is 4" square and 2" deep. Painted in 2004.
I needed something to keep my jewelry in order and didn't want to invest any money into it. This box is created out of ordinary box. I have made compartment into it and decoupage it. For more such creation please visit my blog: fah2305.blogspot.com
Each year, Gallery Route One in Point Reyes invites over a hundred artists to create unique works of art using a wooden box.
Here are the inspiring artworks they created this year: they range in style from whimsical to poignant and thought-provoking. These photos were taken on closing day, when the gallery organized a live auction for each of this year’s 150 boxes. The proceeds support the gallery’s exhibits and community programs.
Two of the boxes were created by members of our art community: Howard Rheingold (a.k.a. Dr. Rindbrain) contributed an illuminated box called ‘Magical’, while Geo Monley and Meryl Rubenstein made ‘Les Puzzles.’
Members of ‘Pataphysical Studios came to cheer for their peers -- Dr. Really was the highest bidder for Dr. Rindbrain’s piece, which was thus kept in the family. After the show, we all went to Stellina to celebrate over a nice dinner.

This musical jewelry box is made of beech wood and it's made to order!
Half of the wooden box is for some small jewelry and the other side has the wind up music movement built in!
This wind up musical movement needs to be wound up from the bottom of the music box and plays the song of your choice!

If you'd like to place a custom order, please keep that in mind that it takes up to 1-2 weeks to get a music box done depending on the song of your choice and my work load! But even if you don't have that much time, convo me and I'll try to work it out!
Found this brownie in a box of old cameras. Engraved with the owners name and who it was from. I expect Viv and Margy are long gone , but the camera remains, still working and loved again by it's new keeper.
The red telephone box, a telephone kiosk for a public telephone designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, was a familiar sight on the streets of the United Kingdom, Malta, Bermuda and Gibraltar. Despite a reduction in their numbers in recent years, the traditional British red telephone box can still be seen in many places throughout the UK, and in current or former British colonies around the world. The color red was chosen to make them easy to spot.

Boxes at the EverGreen Farmer's Market at the Brickworks Toronto Ontario. The colours of the boxes really caught my attention.
A replica of the puzzle box that opens a door to hell in the film Hellraiser. Lemarchand is the name of the box's creator, a toymaker, "le merchant". Unlike the multiple set piece boxes used n the film, this one does not slide and shift its parts to take on new forms.

Up for critique - I got a suggestion last time to add kumquats maybe for some extra color. Well I didn't need the extra orange color but I am in love with kumquats now!
