Put together a mirror box per this tutorial.
It's clearly something a bit more designed for P&S cameras, because my DSLR overwhelmed the box a little. Forced me to shoot ultra wide-angle, so I thought my fisheye would be fun.

From a series of boxes constructed between 1987 and 2007. Most now lost in transit, given away as gifts, these only exist as the photographic documents.
Inspired by the love of Joseph Cornell,gaming machines and pop art.
The measuring cup was priced at $2.00! I didn't stuff the box like before because there really wasn't a whole lot to choose from today. I am excited about the Corning Fireside mug! All the woodland brown is for my son.
So, I have recently discovered that I really love coming up with new boxes and building them. Most of my downtime at work is spent drawing and sometimes making boxes.
I have no idea if this has been done before; probably has. I find reading about making boxes utterly boring. I only like to make them. If you know of a tutorial for a similar design I'd like to see it!
This was a prototype for a box based on a historic leather book satchel. The idea is that there would be a strap attached to this box that one could hold to carry the book, and the rigid sides provide better protection than a soft bag.
The prototype worked out well but I figured out a few minor things I need to tweak. It's all one piece, which is sort of an obsession of mine.
Oh, and I need to put the button on BEFORE I put the box together, or there will be no way to close it!

A few things seemed odd in this scene.
1. The wrought iron surrounding the closet grave is broken...
2. The Raven appears to only have one leg...
3. There are some distressing faces coming out of the large tree trunk...
4. And one from the tombstone to the top left / rear of the frame...

I cheated - I got tired of my henna peeling and cracking so I went with black fabric paint. It doesn't show well on the camera, but the painted areas are color-shifting mica, which gives a neat purple-to-blue and pink-to-green effect. Swarovskis added under several coats of poly.
Turtle was lost in the backyard all winter (Oct.8 until found March 1). He didn't dig himself in deep enough & lost top layer of his shell.
This is a medium-sized (roughly 10" x 7" x 5") general-purpose treasure box. I may still add dividers for the jewelry box treatment, we'll see. It's a real multi-species affair, with zebrawood front and back, figured bubinga sides, and a walnut lid.

Spotted walking across my driveway. Box turtles can live a long time 20 years or more, Unfortunately, the major causes of death for box turtles are due to human activity - cars, farm equipment, lawn mowers and so on. Also improper care when taken from the wild as "pets", destruction of habitat from development, and releasing turtles too far from where they were found. Turtles can have very small "home ranges" - around 250 square yards or less and can die trying to find their way home.
Just got this back from the manufacturers.
I think they've put the USB port on the wrong side (or on the front). They're looking into it now, but providing that is the back of the box, I can get around it :)

This is an Electrical Control Box very similar to the ones in School Lane and Barkfield Lane Formby. It is thought they may have been involved with the timing of street lighting.
This box was made by A Handyside & Co Ltd Derby & London.
The top of the box. Yeah, went a little crazy for something to just send a product in. But that is ok, this customer is going to get a big surprise.

Four Home Depot moving boxes taped shut and stacked next to each other inside of a U-Haul rental truck with other storage bins in the background.
This is my collection of plugs at the moment (1/2 inch). I bought the wooden box and the swirl piece and stained them both.
