These bee boxes are waiting to be wax dipped and painted. Wax dipping them stops the wood from rotting and protects the inside of the super.
At last my Goldie arrived!I found this huge box out of the door when I came home from my job travel...the courier didn't ask anybody for an arrival signature,I can't believe it!)-:

I won't open the box until Christmas,tough!

These were first made in the 1920s. This one has a paper label inside describing the manufacturer as Ensign Ltd which shows it came out of the factory after March 1930.

Just finished a pair of tissue boxes made out of glass tile, which was really nice to work with. Each time I try something new, I learn a little more, and I'm looking forward to working on a third...
From a series of boxes constructed between 1987 and 2007. Most now lost in transit, given away as gifts, these only exist as the photographic documents.

For the big Sister, Music Box Jumper size 4 with lots of room to grow into.
The sewing on this dress (and the little sister version too) is abysmal, that's what happens when the baby decides she is only going to sleep 20 minutes at a time between nursings . I didn't have the sense to pack it in for the night and instead rushed through really sloppily. I am deciding not to look at the stitching and just revel in the cute little whales and the lovely Oliver + S pattern.
