3 of the boxed up cupcakes for Grace's teachers, just as a little thank you as she comes to the end of Year 11.
The day we adopted Daisy, she came home in a box like all our dogs have, but halfway through the long drive she crawled out into my lap. She fell asleep and started dreaming. She was too sweet - such a little lovey!

Handmade Jewelery box made from Bloodwood & Black Walnut with a Black Walnut Burl Inlayed top this was made from all solid woods.
Here's an altered art pic that I made from a background of a public domain petroglyph photo and some additions of my own. The main purple rectangle is from a photo I took of the box of purple exam gloves that were on my Dr's wall during a recent visit. One of the fingers of the gloves
was partially pulled out at a jaunty angle, and looked like a dancing leg. Add to that the curved side of the opening of the box reminded me of the hunched back of the musical Kokopelli, one of the beloved gods of many Southwestern Native American traditions. In some of those beliefs, he dances along, trading new songs for the ones he carries in the sack on his back. I figured that it would be a terrific idea for my version to spread joy when he could.

We have a couple of neighbours that always make us something homemade at Christmas. Sometimes it's food like home made breads, or Italian almond cookies. Last year Sean got a beautiful hand knitted scarf, and I got a wooden birdhouse! (very thoughtful), so this year they are getting one of these boxes of cupcakes with a Christmas Tree ornament on top!
I love making stuff like this;)

Furthering my experiments with props. A cardboard box lined with silver foil and the front section cut out and diffused with paper.
I put my 580EX II and 430EX flashes inside the box with me, firing them with a Pocket Wizard plus wireless trigger. I pointed the flashes backwards because I didn't want hot spots on the paper. The camera was fired with a remote.
The shots were hard as I had difficulty seeing what I was doing. When I take the photos properly I'll use someone else as a model.
Thanks to Emil.magnusson for the direction.

"The Money Box," staged at Loyola University New Orleans in March 2013, was a musical set in New Orleans in the 1960s. The play told the story of Midas Harpagon, a notoriously stingy owner of a Bourbon Street club, and his children. In their longing to escape the control of their father and marry the lovers of their choice, the children wonder, “Will love or the love of money prevail?” This was the world-premiere of the musical by Ricky Graham, a celebrated playwright and New Orleans native. The production featured music by Loyola alumnus Jefferson Turner ’99 and lyrics by Graham and Sean Patterson. The performance was an adaptation of Moliere’s classic satire 'The Miser.'
