Capital SQ Madison WI. Camera Company outing 11/25/2017

26 September 2011

This is the lighting solution in my bathroom at the moment while the ceiling light is out of action.

And I discovered split toning on lightroom, hence the purple.... :)

This shot was awesome in my head!

I guess I thought the train station bokeh was stronger (I think stronger is the word I want, more blurry is what I was going for) when I looked at the screen because I thought it looked good and kept walking. I still like how it turned out and haven't seen anything like this on Flickr but I just wish it turned out the way I thought it did.

This would have been a great time to have the f/2.8 of a 70-200mm. Alas, one day.

Thanks for looking!

I've been waiting for this kind of opportunity to just take a photo of plain and simple grass with droplets on them ;) The only way you can see the stars is to press L. I can't wait for July 2!!! That's when Air Bender the movie starts showing! Yayyyy!

One of the last photos I took on the D300, testing out the 50mm f/1.4D lens I got for the D750. It takes beautiful photos on the D300 too.

The photo is cropped to improve framing (and because I didn't shoot it as a properly composed photo, I was just testing the bokeh).

The bokeh on this was great to begin with, then I added a texture by A. Brunas. Thanks Angelique for your wonderful texture packages - they are such fun to work with!

Taken with a Carl Zeiss Jena Pancolar 50/1.8, radio-active version.

Experimenting bokeh with hot chocolate cup as my in-focus object...

Some tea moments captured with NEX-5 and Pentax SMC 50mm F/1.4 on MF. Nice bokeh, I would probably use these lenses quite a lot...

I challenged myself to shoot a bokeh shot using one of my slower lenses - only f5.0 on this shot. It taught me that I needed greater separation between my subject and the background.

Como todos devem saber eu adoro bokeh e meio que já é uma característica nas minhas fotos porque a maioria delas tem algum desfoque.

Fiz essa foto quando estava voltando da casa da minha vó e sei lá, gostei bastante dessa edição "diferente".

Ah, ja ia me esquecendo.

Dropped by the Arc Store on the way home and found an SMC Pentax M 135mm, f3.5 lens for $6.99. So I put it on my Sony NEX-5N and tested it.

Picture Winter : Beyond the Chill

Day 14

Prompt: Today, no matter what the wintery weather, walk outside and scour your landscape for a bit of forgotten beauty. Then pull the focus in tight and see what you find. Winter has its own magic beyond icicles and snow. I challenge you to move beyond the frost and seek the beauty that exists just beyond it for it is there. It's your job today to find it.
