Fuji X-E1 + Trioplan 50mm f2,9

Just went for a walk for an hour and decided to take my 50mm - I just forget how nice this lens is !

Tried to get the bokeh to be other than just a background item. SB900 cam left, fired by pop-up.

Active Assignment Weekly by Texas Tongs

Okay, this week, get ready to crank up your aperture and compose a nice Bokeh photograph.

In photography, bokeh is the blur, or the aesthetic quality of the blur, in out-of-focus areas of an image, or the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light.

Restriction: No blurring using post processing techniques, bokeh should come right out of the lens.

Dare: Try to convey a connection or relationship between the bokeh and the in-focus subject

WIT

Changed to my 200mm lens. Opened up the aperture. Go outside and seek the signs of autumn since today the sun shines (although lower every day now). I found a feather. I'm not too sure what it came from, but I suspect it was a herring gull. :)

The other day I just grabbed my camera and went off exploring, looking for something to take photos of. When I found this little blue plants I couldn't resist! I also was intrigued with the tree's bokeh in the background and so I went up to that and improvised with my Nifty Fifty in an attempt to capture some great bokeh. I think I made progress but still need work! I have also been working to better identify Color Filled photos that pack a punch! While I am moving in the right direction there still is lacking the Wow feel to these colorful images.

I edited these shots in Lightroom 3 with the normal boost of Blacks, and Vibrant Colors. This time I also experimented with fill light. I added quite a bit to each in order to help punch out some of the colors and not create such a dark feeling photo! Hopefully it worked! :D

Happy Good Friday Everyone!

I found this beauty near my parents house. It's actually flower of a grass variant. It was a bit tough to get a sharp picture as winds were blowing pretty hard.

I feel I haven't done enough justice to the real beauty of this flower. So this week I am going back to that place and will try my best. :)

I really enjoy selecting the most suitable scenes for my digital watercolour techniques. The traditional water colouring brush approach is no longer available and suitable for me.

Assignment 52 - Week 36 - Bokeh

Taken at night so I used the AF setting to get the Bokeh effect and then switched to MF to actually capture the lights.

Before he takes his morning nap !
