I close my eyes
and dream of you
and me
bathed by light
and love.
I open them
and realize
there's you
and
light
and love!
Ahhh, bokeh dreams... ♫ ♫ ♫
Bokeh Wednesday to one and all! ( H B W ! )
(*Bokeh (derived from Japanese boke ぼけ, a noun form of bokeru ぼける, "become blurred or fuzzy") is a photographic term referring to the appearance of out-of-focus areas in an image produced by a camera lens using a shallow depth of field. Different lens bokeh produces different aesthetic qualities in out-of-focus backgrounds, which are often used to reduce distractions and emphasize the primary subject. ~ Source: Wikipedia)

Bokeh effect from thousands of lights in the trees along Bellevue Way on March 25, 2021 in Bellevue, Washington, USA
The other day my sister sent me a link to a site featuring a few photos taken with those cards that have shapes like stars and hearts cut out of them which change the way your bokeh looks. I wanted to give it ago....so tonight I cut a star burst shape into an old piece of card and rigged it onto my 35mm f/1.8G. After some test shots I set up a glass bear sculpture that my Mum has on the front windowsill. The christmas tree behind the sculpture made for some great bokeh.

(desculpem....a foto está ruim, o filme ISO 100 não era o ideal para as tomadas internas, mas eu não podia deixar de fora o primeiro bokeh (hexagonal, ainda por cima) com câmera analógica....)

These where set up as part of a test todo with work to understand how the lights interact with objects.
The ultimate idea was/is to recreate something in CG with little lights but add a twist of somekind :)
