As a one-time special treat we let them color on themselves as much as they wanted. I was actually pretty impressed with the quality of Eloise's work. She achieved that facial hair effect herself -- without the benefit of a mirror! (Parental pride doesn't discriminate.)

Kenyan Red Cross workers remove bodies from Nakumatt supermarket in downtown Nairobi, Friday, Jan. 30, 2009 twenty-five bodies have been removed from the debris, dozens others were still missing Friday, two days after a massive fire swept through a supermarket in downtown Nairobi.

The body has been transformed after losing 35 pounds. The weight hasn't changed in the past few weeks, but the shape has and the waist is down from 37" golf shorts to 32".
Just back from hols and visits to friends. One visit was to my old friend in Chesterfield, so we did our yearly visit to Barrow Hill. This is a detail from 82008.

Concepción tiene la gran oportunidad de conocer "Bodies, The Exhibition", una exposición que muestra el cuerpo humano por dentro. Ocho cuerpos reales expuestos en diversas posiciones, más de un centenar de órganos diseccionados, 9 embriones y 21 cuerpos de animales, conforman esta muestra, que permitirá al espectador conocer las anatomías de la forma más real conocida hasta el momento. Este recorrido por el cuerpo humano es una excelente oportunidad para ser apreciada tanto por su atractivo visual, como también desde un punto de vista didáctico y educativo. Es por esto, que se realizarán charlas guiadas para instituciones académicas, previamente coordinadas con los organizadores.
Expression through Body Motion - from walking in nature to select a friend, sketching and transferring onto large paper, drawing via contour lines with the body, then through dance and seeing the shape of their friend in fabric. Two day workshop amazing time despite the rain and bundled with a delicious vegan spaghetti lunch!
