... become green energy:))

- allen eine angenehmes Wochenende:-)

- a fine weekend to all friends:-)

This one is for Paul who didn't get the weather for his Iceland trip!! I have so many pictures of the wonderful beach in Iceland that I need to slip them in occasionally while you're not looking...

The Skeena races toward Prince Rupert as the sun fades away.

There were so many bluebells that I couldn't help myself! I liked this shot as it was taken low down which gives a better idea of density.

A rare bird. One member of the party remarked that it was 53 years since he had seen one of these! A lifer for me!

early one morning....

Todays colour is ? .......blue :)

These 3 shots are taken of some industrial units on an estate in Sittingbourne. The sunshine on the day really helped make the blue stand out, especially on the last one. I just liked the lovely colour and the simple lines.

Doing the best at this moment puts you in the best place for the next moment

Asseguda a l’habitació de l’hotel on visc.

Well Sydney is rather blue this morning after yesterday's tragic massacre of six people at Bondi.

Sunday, 14th April, 2024.

It has now been revealed that the man who killed six innocent people yesterday at the the Bondi Junction Westfield Shopping Centre was a 40 year old man from Queensland (and not a Sydney resident) and, more significantly, suffered from

schizophrenia, and hated women. Five of his victims were young women.

Schizophrenia is indeed a wicked mental illness that has caused, through history, such terrible grief. Goodness knows how we address it.

Today's view of Sydney is from the Balls Head Reserve, at Waverton (near McMahons Point) captured just after sunset in the 'Blue Hour', on Monday 1st April, 2024. Directly opposite Balls Head is Blues Point and the infamous 'Blues Point Tower'.

FOR THOSE WHO LOVE BLUE SEA..................... ( sooc!)

WISH YOU a BLUE BEAUTIFUL COMING WEEKEND!

and for Roger, who loves HISTORY!

The island of Favignana was fought over during the First Punic War between Rome and Carthage. On 10 March 241 BC, a major naval battle was fought a short distance offshore between the two powers. Two hundred Roman ships under the consul Gaius Lutatius Catulus met and decisively defeated a much larger Carthaginian fleet of 400 ships, with the Romans sinking 120 Carthaginian vessels and taking 10,000 prisoners.

So many dead Phoenicians washed ashore on the northeastern part of Favignana that the shoreline there acquired the name "Red Cove" (Cala Rossa) from the bloodshed. The Romans took possession of the island under the terms of the treaty that ended the war.
