This is the bridge from Kungshamn to Smøgen in Sweden. Smøgen is super popular in the summertime and too crowded for me, but it really shines in the autumn and spring. A fantastic place well worth visiting. Shot in light rain/drizzle.
Polyommatus icarus.
It’s a small butterfly with gleaming blue upper part, narrow black line near the edges and white tassel. The lower part is grey brown with black, wit rim spot and a range orange spots along the edges of the behind wings. Females are of above brown, with some blue and orange spots. The span of the wings is about 25 mm. In the Netherlands they live everywhere in the country. You must seek them, but if you do, you will find them. In one year comes 1 till 3 new generations out of the eggs.
The butterflies and the caterpillars suck nectar. They get it from flowers from difference sorts of spice. Some of the caterpillars try to over live the winter, and comes in spring out of the cocoons. The further development goes afterwards very fast, of generation on generation. There very many blue ones exist and it is often a laborious work, distinguish them of each other. A lake or less clear blue colour to the upper part, and small spots around the eyes, is to base is all types own. The caterpillars of some types become by fiddle visited, because the sweet juice which they break away.

No sun here... this is another faux sun shot, taken with the help of my office desk lamp.
I think this is a faux-colored daisy too, don't really want to know how they get that color. The "background" is a green spider mum. The whole bouquet has strong, almost garish colors, just "spoke" to me for some reason, now I am not so sure... :D
Morning idyll on Lake Chiemsee. View from the Fraueninsel (lit. women island) to the direction of Seebruck.
The picture was taken on Saturday during a visit of our photo friends from Lower Bavaria with the Flick friends from Upper Bavaria ... and of course we had ordered the best Kaiserwetter for our guests ... and a few more little things, but later more ...

The models in this breathtaking scene are Peter and Whitney - both incredibly talented photographers as well! I am in Vancouver BC, and have been living a literal dream over the past weeks roadtripping across America and Canada. I have seen many wonders and captured so much beauty, and more importantly gained incredible friends that I will certainly miss until we meet again. Too much to even edit right now, but be looking forward to a lot of new stuff trickling in over the next months!

I edited and painted this shot to save it. This is a wonderful bird for me, migrating through the wetlands. First thing in the morning, and it was not very well lit ... I loved the side view so it's a keeper, perfect or not! Sometimes I've just gotta' take what I can get and be thankful!

Still not many butterflies around here at the moment so I was pleased to find a female Common Blue which I usually struggle to photograph.
