For this one, I had to have my brother stand on the merry go round and hold up a blue neon to create the top portion of this. I am sure that he was getting a little dizzy. Check out his photostream @http://www.flickr.com/photos/33tazz/
We came across numerous Blue Birds today, in Contra Loma. It was a beautiful day at Contra Loma once the overcast skies cleared and the sun shone through. The brilliant blue-and-rust Western Bluebirds sit on low perches and swoop lightly to the ground to catch insects. Deep blue, rusty, and white, males are considerably brighter than the gray-brown, blue-tinged females.

I haven't shot anything new today (yesterday since it's past midnight now), so I dug this up from my library of failed water droplet attempts -- I still haven't achieved what I really want for this kind of shot.
I had a pretty long day and about to crash. Have a great weekend y'all!

Asseguda a l’habitació de l’hotel on visc.

FOR THOSE WHO LOVE BLUE SEA..................... ( sooc!)
WISH YOU a BLUE BEAUTIFUL COMING WEEKEND!
and for Roger, who loves HISTORY!
The island of Favignana was fought over during the First Punic War between Rome and Carthage. On 10 March 241 BC, a major naval battle was fought a short distance offshore between the two powers. Two hundred Roman ships under the consul Gaius Lutatius Catulus met and decisively defeated a much larger Carthaginian fleet of 400 ships, with the Romans sinking 120 Carthaginian vessels and taking 10,000 prisoners.
So many dead Phoenicians washed ashore on the northeastern part of Favignana that the shoreline there acquired the name "Red Cove" (Cala Rossa) from the bloodshed. The Romans took possession of the island under the terms of the treaty that ended the war.
