This was very difficult. The client needed a moonlight atmosphere of a sleeping woman and the look and feel of a crush paper. So I did my photos in the studio of the sleeping woman and the rest is digital painting... This was a ad for a medical theme of people with a liquid problem....

I'm from central Indiana, so I couldn't let a blue month go by without getting in a picture of the Indianapolis Colts blue. I'm not much of a sports fan, but that's something I keep to myself during football season. :-)

Steel Blue crowntail

How exactly do they get home with everyone who buys one in the park?

During a snowstorm the blue jays still came out to the bird feeder. There are about six of them that seem to travel together, and all six don't fit on the feeder at once. These two are in the branches above the feeder, waiting for a chance to get at the seed.

Just a blue tit, eh?

This is taken from a walk in Tittersworth. When we got there we had glorious blue skies..as you can see. Just as we left it started raining. We still managed time for ice cream though :)

According to the tabloids today is 'blue Monday' the worst day of the year... Sprout thinks that's great news as she loves blue! And, if today is the worst day of the year then it can only get better and better from here!

Last damselfly for now, hopefully get some bird life in front of the camera soon. Im liking the smooth background on this shot, when I do more macro I'll try and focus on getting much better backgrounds.

Good morning. Just a single posting today of a pic I should probably have posted on Thursday with the series I did on the male Common Pondhawk (Erythemis simplicicollis), which you can find at the below link for those of you that might have not seen it...

This is my one and only good in-flight dragonfly shot, something I'm normally horrible at. And I did all things you shouldn't do when taking an in-flight shot such as use a tripod, a relatively slow exposure setting, and using auto-focus. But at the time, I just re-acted to an opportunity that I didn't think would play-out long enough to do anything else. That was to get a shot shot of this male I happened upon that was hovering in a circle over a oviposting female. Fortunately I got lucky in spite of doing all the wrong things, which is all that one can ask at times.

Thank you for stopping by...and I hope you have a great Saturday and weekend.
