The chapel of Prophet Elias in the clouds. The picture was taken during dusk.

The lake color under the blue sky in the late afternoon lighting was amazing to see.

Crater Lake, Oregon

Marton Heath Trout Pools, Cheshire

nobody was there, it felt kind of creepy...

I think that's the reason the settings on my camera were all wrong, I was in a hurry :)

but I like the result...

Taken at Kuranda's Birdworld, Cairns, Australia.

A wider version of the view from Mount Tamalpais over San Francisco than something I uploaded a few weeks ago, the park is supposed to close at sunset, and I was at the end of the park road, a 30 minute drive from the gate, already 20 minutes AFTER sunset, I was worried about getting locked inside, when I arrived, the parking area was almost full, when I left, there was only one other car remaining. I hope they made it out in time, I drove like crazy down the road, and the rangers seemed ready to lock the gate behind me, and no, you cannot camp at the summit. The weather conditions were exceptionally clear that day, it's not worth the risk and stress otherwise.

We had some Rain Last-night,and that make's for some Fun Macro.

Blue-gray Gnatcatcher at Castle Rocks State park near Almo, Idaho.

Captured on my early morning walk on Saturday before the rain returned, one has to make the most of the good weather. I love dramatic skies with lots of clouds and storms but sometimes it's just good to appreciate a plain blue cloud-free calm sky reflected in the water.

Mostly rainy day here, a good time to go through the files trying to remember sunny trips.

This is part of the structure aboard the Caribbean Princess.

The Princess ships are beautiful. I don't know if these details have any function other than beautifully catching the sun and casting shadows!

Remember this ? Well, here's a close-up on one these tiny little flowers.

… Please press L to enlarge… patterns are made with Moiré effect … sorry that after jpg and upload there is some quality deterioration…

Moiré effect is a visual perception that occurs when viewing a set of lines or dots that is superimposed on another set of lines or dots, where the sets differ in relative size, angle, or spacing. The moiré effect can be seen when looking through ordinary window screens at another screen or background. It can also be generated by a photographic or electronic reproduction, either deliberately or accidentally. (whatis.techtarget.com/definition/moire-effect )
