The Eryngiums took awhile but its turning into beautiful Sapphire blue.

Those brown nibs are from our Pine tree above.

The Heron in the lead made the mistake of landing in a wide open area without knowing it was already the territory of the Heron in the rear, who arrived minutes later. The chase was back and forth for about 30 seconds before the first bird gave up and left. View large.

nobody was there, it felt kind of creepy...

I think that's the reason the settings on my camera were all wrong, I was in a hurry :)

but I like the result...

The blue hour in the morning on the Grand Canal is a quiet and special time. The throngs of visitors are still sleeping and the gondolas look like they are too.

 

Before I left on this trip, I got a new little camera and had to replace my ancient computer, so I am learning what new things each of them can do. Good for the mind and to see the possibilities. I like vignettes so used that tool in editing.

My blue Marguerite 'felicia amelloides' daisies, happily absorbing the northern sun here at Cherrybrook in northern Sydney. They are from the 'Plants Plus' nursery and garden centre, in the Cumberland Forest, at West Pennant Hills.
