Smooth blue aster (Symphyotrichum Laeve). I captured these at the start of the Red Rock Canyon in Waterton Lakes NP, known for its wide variety of wildflowers.
A Blue Jay displays the characteristic curiosity of members of the Corvidae. This bird with its bright colours and brassy calls was seen in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, on a sunny winter day.
Something i learned from Bobby (urban Tiki) called the "Blue Hour" Well, i am off to ohio again, near Cincinnati....be back in a few dayz.

creo que hare una foto con cada color (no todos, por supuesto, pero si los que mas me llaman la atencion) que acabaran siendo autorretratos, ya que soy la unica que aguanta lo pesada que me pongo en el tema fotografia
dense fog this morning, the bluehour heralded no dawn just offered a blue blanket. I was alone entirely 5am on St Mary's beach save for the birds, not even the Lighthouse herself was visible. only 20 metres of causeway showing and the feeling was one of exceptional simplicity, serenity, and peace.
Have printed this both ways as I like the square that shows in the thumbnail too.

Edited to add: It was completely unintentional, but seeing this in my Photostream next to my other Macro Mondays shot for this week ("Sparkling"), they make a pretty good set. Ha!

I was wondering why I took this shot, and then I realized there is a deer in the picture...hahaha:)
heard there were wildfires up in Calistoga and thought I'd see if I could get some dramatic eastern skies, but that didn't happen. Good enough for an early morning outing though
The blue light and the white wall bring us back to the colours of the greek flag! Hopefully Greece comes through this crisis in world interest !
