A shot from a bike trip along the river.
My first exploration of this place today... The water level was higher before the sunset, and it went down slowly afterwards... This view is what I got just when I walked back from the pier and was about to call it a day! I guess it is perfect in timing for me to catch the total blue!!

CSX Q694 breaks the quiet of the night as it heads north through Elkhorn City, Kentucky and past the Clinchfield signals at North Elkhorn. This was once the location where the C&O and the Clinchfield met, and now marks the split from the CSX Big Sandy Sub to the CSX Kingsport Sub.

The biggest blizzard in Maryland history hammered us yesterday. The sun is out today and the excavations begin. I can't get to the feeders. I dug out the birdseed cans at dawn and spread the seed on my deck. A dozen normally shy Blue Jays have shown up to have breakfast :)
