ok, I know these are crappy photos, but I'm so excited because my Frieda sweater is blocking! This is the first time I've ever blocked anything. (Hence, my unpreparedness in having to improvise my blocking materials. At least I had the pins ready.)
The sleeves are off the needles and my next step is joining the shoulder seams and knitting the turtleneck portion. After that, I need to block the sleeves and finish those (attaching the cable portions to the sleeves). Then the sleeves will be attached, and I will finally be done!
(This is taking a lot of work, isn't it?)
I'm a terrible person for taking so dang long with this block and I sincerely apologize. There's really no reason to be so slow; my only defenses are that I just moved and still haven't really unpacked and also just started working full time and commuting. Regardless, here it is and I hope it goes well with your idea for your quilt!!
my block with some fabric scraps - I'll send the fabrics of with the block to enable a scrap or two can be added to the additional blocks (if the maker wants) to help unify everything
For October's Blocks in Not Your Grandma's Quilting Bee (The Hive) Mary provided pre-cut triangles and asked for this specific style of block, two made with solid centres and two made with print centres. They were quick to make and I love the combination of fabrics she chose.
This is what I did New Years Night! I made these from my Mom's
treasure of scraps, I think maybe I'll put them in a baby boy quilt?
We'll see!

Took some shots of a little plastic syringe rig that would drop water into my focal point on a pyrex cooking dish full of water with one of those little LED bases that shine multi coloured light through the little peices of lasered glass/plastic and I came across some weird light & nice brokeh effects(some of which due to splashes on lens)
set up with tripod/ flash and also two patio lights(blue & white) to allow a faster shutter speed, 50mm lens, with close up filter (I took approx 60 shots to just get 6 keepers, very hit & and miss !!!)
Perché non posso uccidere Dio in me stesso?
Perché continua a vivere in me sia pure in modo vergognoso e umiliante anche se io lo maledico e voglio strapparlo dal mio cuore?
E perché nonostante tutto egli continua a essere uno struggente richiamo di cui non riesco a liberarmi?
