The Whitney Block is an important provincial office building located in Toronto, Ontario. It is located across the street from the Ontario Legislature, and contains the offices of the Premier of Ontario and most cabinet ministers.
The Modern Gothic structure was built in 1926 by architect F. R. Heakes and the tower was added in 1932. Whitney Block is faced with Queenston limestone. The facade is ornamented by repeated sequences of quatrefoils, and figures designed by Charles Adamson, which represent abtsract ideals like justice, as well as more ordinary pursuits such a mining and farming.[1]
At its completion it was one of the tallest buildings in Toronto.

Blocking off Bay St, you'd be surprised how many dummies tried to drive past the two cop cars as if the barricades and the cruisers were not there!!

This painting has evolved quite a bit and is likely to some more. It's resting on another painting and a small stick protrudes from the bottom. While there is some slight digital manipulation here, the pixelated squares are all painted.

Now all I have to do is sew them together, layer the quilt, quilt it, bind it, sew a label on it, wash it, and wrap it.
I have until Saturday. As in, four days from now. *sigh*
Cristen's block for the Sew New To Me Virtual Quilting Bee. I think the greens and greys look really great together and I liked the restriction and freedom of the rectangle/square request.
