Spencer Block (1872) — this is the side of the building called Virginia Hall. Part of the French Portage Road Historic District.
Blocks are from the Yahoo Mystery Group Crazy Quilt Afghan Knit along. Vanna's Choice Yarn, size 8 needles
Starting to make some progress here. I'm trying to aim for 2 blocks a day, which means I'll finish all the blocks i want by the end of Febuary.
I don't want to finish them all now, because I think I'm going to be making a bunch more, new, colorful scraps for the Curves Class, and I want to use them in this quilt!
Blocking off Bay St, you'd be surprised how many dummies tried to drive past the two cop cars as if the barricades and the cruisers were not there!!

These stairs lead from the top of the Mohegan bluffs down to the beach, since it was near 90 degrees and we were already exhausted from walking around the island, we decided to skip it this time...
I love the green wool for the nut house body. I worried it was too bright but it's just what this block needed!

The 2007 Pro Bowl Block Party which was held on Friday night (February 9, 2007) on Kalakaua Avenue in Waikiki. Players, cheerleaders, mascots, local food and local entertainment all together to show some love to the fans in Hawaii.
I am running out of my white on white background fabric, so had to piece the back, but I really like how it turned out.....
I'm a terrible person for taking so dang long with this block and I sincerely apologize. There's really no reason to be so slow; my only defenses are that I just moved and still haven't really unpacked and also just started working full time and commuting. Regardless, here it is and I hope it goes well with your idea for your quilt!!

treasure of scraps, I think maybe I'll put them in a baby boy quilt?

Took some shots of a little plastic syringe rig that would drop water into my focal point on a pyrex cooking dish full of water with one of those little LED bases that shine multi coloured light through the little peices of lasered glass/plastic and I came across some weird light & nice brokeh effects(some of which due to splashes on lens)
set up with tripod/ flash and also two patio lights(blue & white) to allow a faster shutter speed, 50mm lens, with close up filter (I took approx 60 shots to just get 6 keepers, very hit & and miss !!!)
