wheeeee! I got two done this weekend. Oh My Nerves...I wish I could stay home all week and sew...these are just so darn much fun.
I made these blocks as my contribution for my month. I'm still waiting on a few blocks -- getting excited to put them all together! Blogged here.
I climbed Haystacks (a mountain in the English Lake District) and made the Haystack block - all in the same week.
Try to still love me even though my points are not all . . . er . . . pointy. This was really hard for me!! I tried to at least give a nice variety in the sheets used. That helps, yes?
(This block was made using the tutorial found here: www.filminthefridge.com/2010/07/28/a-quick-tutorial-the-s...

This block is actually block no. 61 in the Farmer's Wife 1930s sampler quilt. It was a tricky make due to the inset seams but I managed.
You can find all my Farmer's Wife 1930s quilt blocks over at the Patchsmith's blog.

Yoga Block party at The Piazza for Wanderlust Fest. It felt totally weird to be here attending and not covering the event since I've covered several at the Piazza before. Loads of fun, a great yoga class with some very cool people.
Reminds me of my friend, Dustin. I love the texty fabrics in the body of the donkey. He's template pieced and then appliqued. Interesting technique.
This is an article about my Pantheon MOC in the 2017 December issue of the Blocks Magazine. Thank you to everyone who made it possible! / Íme a cikk a Pantheonomról a nemzetközi Blocks Magazin 2017 decemberi számából. Köszönöm mindenkinek, aki lehetővé tette!
Ceramic tiles, glass gems and stones. Very happy with how this looks. May put a coating of varnish over the wood areas. Still a bit more cleaning but spent all afternooon grouting the ball and stand and this so having a break until tomorrow!
My version of the Martha Stewart baby block cake. Individual 3" cakes.
I'm still not great at all at this technique, but trying to improve!!!
I found an excellent tutorial by Rachel Griffith for this pinwheel block here:

Phew...Block 15 is done...amen
Thank you Janice Ryan for the paper piecing design and great tutorial. I had fun time making this block but I learned it pays to follow the instructions correctly as I cut the wrong fabric 2. This is my second block to do paper piecing and it was a challenge for this gal. Hoping to practice this technique as I love the end results. Thank you Kermit...I couldn't have done this without my ever so faithful buddy, my awesome, wonderful seam ripper.

The Diamond Block
Although, there isn't any real poverty in Ondylion there are always people who have more money than most. These people live in the Diamond block, you can always recognize one because they wear fancy clothing and their houses are the finest of Ondylion.

From Sew Pieceful May Hive #2
Four from my awesome hivemates, three test blocks.
I'm so happy my hive was willing to go for my 'all solids' palette. I had them choose whatever colors they wanted as long as they were solids. I love these blocks!
And I probably should have ironed them before taking a picture. Oops. :)
