Today, I signed the application to rent an apartment, after quite a lengthy search. I've been feeling good about the decision, but I was really touched to see a rainbow in the clouds, on my way home. God has confirmed His will for my life in the past with rainbows--when I interviewed for my last job & when I made the deal on the house where I've lived for the past 13 years. Again, in His kindness, he reassures me! May 27, 2014 in Columbia County, New York, USA.

It dawned on me, as I looked at this pic, that my blessings are as numerous as the ridiculous amount of buttons in the drawers behind it! LOL
Do we like the way my desk blotter shows in the pic bottom, or does it just look messy??
I wanted to post something for me today. A simple wild flower. A beauty all on it's own. You never know where they will grow or what is exspected. They just might surprise you.
Today I reflect on this last year. It is my birthday. So I tend to reflect on the good, bad, what happened...what could have happened. What did I learn and what are my goals for the next year. It all amazes me. It has been a long year to say the least. With 3 wonderful kiddos and a great husband that fights for our country. I could not be more blessed. My husband comes home NEXT WEEK. I am blessed to have him safe. My children are all still growing and learning each new day. I am blessed. I have my health. I am blessed. I was able to work hard and actualy lost around 50pds this last year and with medical "issues"...it was a challenge. Since when is that sensitive subject not a challange. I have made it thru this year without my best friend by my side. I am a woman that is strong. That being said, you can NOT be strong without going thru heartache and trails. That's what builds a person. You do NOT know or recognize how far you've come without hitting a few bottoms. YOu become strong every time your able to put one foot in front of another and start another day. Who said it would be easy. If they did...they were fibbing to you.
My life is beautiful.
But has trails and failures.
I come out on top.
With the help of my God.
Things come, sadness looms.
All the while a voice
snaps you out of the gloom.
I reach for the stars,
and only hit the roof tops.
But thats ok,
I've done my best.
Thats all we can ask,
At one day at a time.
All will be at rest.

It was his third birthday, the little girl kept trying to open his presents and the big girl kept grabbing them away from him after he finally got them open. His mom caught his sudden tears in a hug and kiss and the newly three year old's hurts turned instantly to joy.
