Today, January 6, was a major religious festival in Greece and other orthodox countries, the feast of Epiphany (Theofania in Greek). It commemorates the baptism of Jesus in the River Jordan.

After the Divine Liturgy in Church, the priests and congregation proceed to the nearest body of water, in this case Glyfada Beach, and proceed to bless the waters, finishing off by casting a cross into the water which is retrieved by swimmers who brave the cold waters. The one who retrieves the cross is especially blessed. Large numbers of people gather to witness the event, which is usually followed by a leisurely seafood meal in a nearby fish taverna.

This card was made with bits and pieces from my desk. The card base is the other half of the Neenah card I cut yesterday. The blue piece was cut originally for another card but decided the colour wasn't quite what I wanted, the lace was sitting on the desk and the flower was made ages ago with some hand coloured card stock and a Spellbinders die. The sentiment stamp set was still sitting on the desk not yet put away. And the vellum was a piece leftover from the card I made last week.

Journaling reads: I truly am blessed in so many ways. But days like today - filled with attitude from a five year old, two potty accidents from an almost 3 year old, spilled milk, tears and a to-do list that's a mile long, and it's easy to forget those blessings. But a warm hug, an I love you or a kiss from my 3 greatest loves - Steve, Hannah & Lexi - and I'm right back to being thankful for my blessings!

Really we are blessed and fortunate; we don’t realize that. The greatest blessing is to be born as a human being and to have a desire for God and on top if it to come in contact with an Avatar, a jagadguru, a world teacher – that is the greatest blessing.

As a Sai devotee, you must have heard of Don Mario Mazzoleni. He wrote the book: A Catholic Priest Meets Sai Baba. Read that book and jumpstart your perspectives. This gem of a personality passed away in September 2001 in Prashanti Nilayam in the Super Specialty Hospital.

He was a Catholic priest who was condemned because he was following Sai Baba. But he said that what he experienced and learned from Swami is the gist and summary of all the holy teachings of all the religions possible. He said his whole life changed.

On his deathbed he said: “Don’t miss this chance – this is the golden chance. To be contemporaries of an Avatar; we don’t know how lucky we are.”

That is why sincere seekers come from more than 170 countries who do not understand Telugu or English. That in itself is the greatest miracle of Swami, that Love, His magnetism and how it attracts. So Swami is there for us, for anybody who is a sincere seeker. But the main thing is that we should be able to make use of His teachings and live them practically in our life.

Tubmanburg, Monrovia, Liberia - June 5, 2014: When Blessing was 4 months old, her mother, Bendu, was working on a farm in rural Liberia. One day she forgot something at home and left Blessing with a close friend at the farm. When she returned, Blessing would not stop crying. She couldn't figure out what was wrong. Eventually she took off her clothes and discovered bleeding. After an examination at the hospital, they determiend that she had been raped by the man. Blessing spent a month in the hospital recovering. Meanwhile, Bendu filed a report with the police and took him to court. He was released when the family provided evidence that he was underage at the time (approximately 17). Blessing is now 4 years old and lives with her mother and baby sister, Miatta. I attended a Blessing Way ceremony for a girlfriend of mine. The yarn, explanaiton of the ceremony, and a photo taken by a mutual friend lent themselves to the perfect representation of the day.

The twins were born on December 20th! A little early, but all are doing well.

"The greatest obstacle to the internal nature is the mind. If it relies on logic…the domain of the inner nature is inaccessible. The simple fact is a man does not challenge the wisdom of the Holy Mystery." ~ Turtleheart, TETON SIOUX

Why is it we need to analyze and understand everything? The Great

Mystery has designed certain areas of creation to be a mystery because humans usually miss-use it. We use the Great Mystery and see It unfold only under the direction of the Great Spirit. The Creator is in charge. Great Spirit, let me realize You are in charge. I'm to do what You want.

California Zephyr 10-6 Sleeper interior public relations photograph. I had to guess at the date, the Californ1a Zephyr 10-Roomette - 6-Bedroom sleepers were built on Job 9660-019, 020, 021, ordered in October 1945, delivered between September and November 1948.

I presumed that this photo was shot by Hedrich-Blessing Ltd. ( the Burlington's PR firm ) in Chicago, shortly after delivery. I also presumed this to be two of the 6-Bedrooms of a 10-6 sleeper. The CZ's observation cars also had two bedrooms that could be configured as pictured, but the curvature of the roof would have been opposite as seen here.

On the back of the print, it is stamped: No. 4797 MASTER BEDROOM Master Bedroom on the California Zephyr is accomplished by opening partitions between two bedrooms, accommodating six passengers by day and providing four beds at night.
