Totally inspired by lulucarter - I made the birdbox from an old Amazon box, not a patch on lulucarters' and a little rough and ready but only the first attempt, the next one should be better, but hay - Bibi loves it anyway!
Oh yes and excuse the quality of the photo still playing around with the new camera.
Here is a link to lulucarters - dont compare!!! just wanted you to see her lovely creation.
Helped clean bluebird nesting boxes earlier this spring. Glad to see that one of my is in use. Must be a technique 😎
Look what I have spotted on my daily garden safari .A Tree Bumblebee's nest in a bird box.!
Well well, what ever next.
worth watching to the end. !!
What to do if you find a nest
If you find a bumblebees nest consider yourself very lucky. Not everyone gets the chance to see a living working Bumblebee colony.
Thankfully Bumblebees are not aggressive and will quietly go about their lives looking for flowers to forage on, pollinating our crops and wildflowers as they do so.

I didn't know anything about Vireos before last weekend when I headed to our local birding spot. While walking along a small wooded area at the park, I noticed this yellow bird perched deep within the woods. My first thought was that it's a goldfinch. I had just photographed one by the hiking trail a few moments ago. But this bird seemed slightly bigger, and he was very busy fluffing his feathers.
The bird was perched deep into the forest, and there was very little light, so I had a hard time exposing for the scene hand holding the lens. The teleconverter has also bought the aperture to f8, which makes it even harder. I had to slightly crank up the exposure compensation and lighten the shadows in post to get a decent image of the bird. With a quick check on the Merlin app, I learned that it's a Yellow-throated Vireo.
Heard about this des res, like what I see on checking it out . I am assured the previous tenants last year have had all their debris removed and cleaned out . BONUS !!! No charge plus feeders and birdbath provided - only proviso is " No Poohing on the owners windows !!!

Eastern Bluebird couple making the morning rounds to feed their young at a birdbox in Bear Creek Park. Seems only right to put up these boxes given how much habitat we destroy building communities. Keller, Texas, USA, April 2015

The female European pied flycatcher (Ficedula hypoleuca) inbound, while the male is off to catch more food for the chicks. I've had the pleasure of having these as my neighbors for a while now. Looks like they have moved out now so the box is open for rent if anyone knows of someone looking for a spot ;) Have a great summer! This is bird box in the Mayfield Village Wetlands. I like the simplicity of this photograph, but also the beautiful bokeh background created by the cattails, which are beginning to shift into their fall colors.
