For the Macro Monday "April Fools" challenge.
The April Fool is that the egg really is balancing on the pebbles; a trick I discovered recently.
The friendly goats at Beyond The Barn in Missouri. Except for one who persisted and does it consistently, in getting his head stuck in the fence!

A little Cubano being balanced in the palm of daddy's hand. Unbelievable to me. Maybe they were a circus family?
Number 5 in my theme for this week Balance. It speaks for itself really taken at Beachy Head, East Sussex, UK in 2012.
I never cease to be impressed by trees that manage to hand on to rocks like this. That tough spot for rooting often leads to twisted and misshapen trees - I loved how this one seemed to mimic the shape of the lake and how the quartzite almost glows in the sunset light. Quartzite here has this almost milky-texture to it - light penetrates the rock and takes on an almost glowing colour. Such an interesting place!
Taken with a Canon 5D IV, a 24-70 f/2.8L ii lens, and a LEE landscape polarizer. Processed in camera raw and photoshop.
On that frosty morning I waited for an eternity hoping that one of the beavers would leave the water. When this one finally did it all happened very quickly, even on land beavers are surprisingly fast, and I was lucky to get this shot.

From the archives....Evening reflections at Vermillion Lakes - Banff National Park
One more week of juggling two positions and then we are Canadian Rockies bound; a much needed retreat after the last few months and hoping when we return, I will be able to achieve some balance between work and play. Not the best of days for a novice to try paddle boarding, the blustery wind made for a challenging time. Good fun anyway.

An older grizzly cub, walks along the top of a log by the shoreline of Chilko Lake, BC, with fall leaves and grasses in the background. Grizzly cubs stay with their moms for 3 years. This cub was probably born in the spring a couple of years ago, so it is 2 and a half years old.

Taken in my attempt to get a MM 'stack' shot. I couldn't get more than three high. They are so small and light and I'm too clumsy 😆
I chose to use my other photo of square beads - they were smaller and lighter but I managed to get a stack of four high!

This is my contribution to this weeks theme of balance for Macro Mondays. The digital display on the back of my camera showing a complete lack of balance HMM
I've photographed this frost covered tree before and decided to again since it was standing out against the shaded woodland. For something different, I left the white balance on Daylight for cooler tones and then enhanced contrast.
