"Life is a balance of holding on and letting go"...
I had been shut out for 5 nights in a row on this trip and was willing to shoot anything at this point. As I was running around to the different viewpoints on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon looking for some open sky, I rounded the corner along the drive and hit the brakes for a quickie. :) I set up one light panel quickly and snapped 3 shots then jumped back in and off I went. I used a cooler white balance than usual on this one at around 3200. :)
If you have any questions about this photo or about photography in general, I will do my best to help, just post a comment or send me a Flickr mail and I will respond as quickly as possible.
Thanks for taking the time to take a look at my photos, and as always, your views, comments, faves, and support are greatly appreciated!! Have a great weekend everybody!! :)

This beautiful male Scarlet Tanager kept getting closer and closer. He was determined to put his best side forward for the photo. One of my favorite migrators!
Flurries over Frogmore
I go to the ocean because sometimes it’s the only thing that gives me calm and comfort. It’s kind of ironic really because the waves are often wild, aggressive, and loud. Maybe it dominates my thoughts and leaves no room for the bad or ugly to enter.
Balance they say is so important. Moments like this one are needed. Eat the salad and the cake. Take the run and have that rest. Read a book and then work, work, work. Balance.

Thanks for your visit and comments, much appreciated!🙋♀️
A little green for GGT and to thank Lori for her testimonial that she wrote for me. Lori since you are such a drop expert, I thought a drop shot would be perfect for you. Thank you so much!!

Balancing Rocks in the Ottawa River.
Remic Rapids Park is situated on the shore of the Ottawa River, Ottawa, Canada.
To enhance the park’s beauty, artist John Felice Ceprano has created balanced rock sculptures on the river’s edge since 1986. The artist uses fossilized and colourful rocks found on the shore to build these sculptures by hand. They provide a free and exploratory public art experience that complements the park’s natural setting.

Great Spirit, who exists before you are in every person and every thing, we invite you to come from the distant places in our present existence.
Big Spirit of the North, giving wings in the air of water to flow and rain and snow, covering the earth with the crystal carpet over which every sound is beautiful, we stand in front of you.
Fill us with the strength to withstand the snowstorms and help us to thank you for the beauty that springs from the warm earth when it wakes up.
The Great Spirit of the East, the land that rises in the sun, you hold in your right hand the years of our lives and on the left the opportunities of every day.
Prepare us not to reject your gifts, nor to miss the hope of every day and every year.
The Great Spirit of the South, where your warm breath melts the ice around our heart, its aroma speaks from distant springs and summers, dissolved our fears, melted our hatred, burned our love with the flames of truth.
Teach us that whoever is truly powerful is also polite, whoever is wise is also merciful, whoever is brave is also compassionate.
The Great Spirit of the West, the land that the sun is tilting, with the bare mountains and lawns, bless us with the knowledge of peace and freedom. Teach us that the end is more important than the beginning, and that the sun does not reign in vain every day.
The Great Spirit of the Earth, lord of the metals and the stones, guardian of the treasures of the earth, help us to thank you daily for your countless springs that keep us alive and for your untold beauty!
