The basic "little hexagon-pattern" folded with a hexagon paper. In this stage this tessellation has a nice form, so I leave it the way it is. Like it is standing on the little triangle, that's why I call it "Balance". ;-)

With such long legs and an uncooperative tree limb, it takes a balancing act to find the perfect perch to rest upon.

I thought the Cormorant looked like it was balancing on his wing tips in this shot.

Balance or balance wheel of a pocket watch.

I happened to catch this Ibis casually balancing itself on a park fence nearby while trying my zoom lens.

Balancing a feather and a pebble on a twig with a stack of pebbles serving as the fulcrum.

This photo depicts some contradiction. The feather is much lighter than the stone, and logic might tell us that this will tip over in favor of the heavier stone. Sometimes, though, things appear to defy logic, leaves us in awe. Careful placement of glue moves the center of gravity, the tip of the lowest pebble serves as the fulcrum and the lower pebbles serving as a counterbalance.
