The plus and minus side of the batteries keep each other in balance, not for real of course, but just for fun. In the meantime they lean against each other, keeping each other in balance also.
Here's an unused version of my Balance challenge shot for Wild Thangs. I like this one as well and it was a tough choice to make... But, this one is still pretty awesome, I think :)

Sense of Balance
Balance is an ability to maintain the line of gravity (vertical line from centre of mass) of a body within the base of support with minimal postural sway. Sway is the horizontal movement of the centre of gravity even when a person/object is standing still)

I'm off the Edinburgh tomorrow, my lovely Son is taking me for lunch (a mother and son day) and so he thought he'd fly me to Edinburgh as a surprise, there and back in a day, as he's back at work early Friday morning, so lots of whisky and a visit to Edinburgh Castle, I know I did good when you get a wonderful surprise like that..... The grey squirrels never cease to entertain with their balancing skills. This one was managing to cling onto the thinnest of twigs whilst it consumed a handful of sunflower seeds. Very occasionally they lose their balance and fall to the ground but this one had the perfect tail for counterbalancing so it had breakfast without any unfortunate interruptions.
The wires are superhighways for squirrels It is commonplace to see them scurrying along between pylons
