Todays posts are very different for me. The 3 images are of the beautiful Moraine Lake but all are in very different light and circumstances. The first was a snapshot taken in wonderful light and weather during my holiday in June. The second and third were taken 3 days apart in September while on a landscape photography trip. You can probably tell I learnt a bit about composition even if the light didn't play ball. We were hoping for a nice sunset and reflection in the second image but the weather had other ideas and amazingly in the third, where we were hoping for a lovely sunrise and reflection, we were treated to a wonderful unexpected snowy scene. I will always remember the third visit as the snow was slippery on the climb up and even more tricky on the way down where I used one leg of my tripod to steady my footing and balance. In town I tried to purchase some YakTrax to attach to my shoes to make walking in the snow easier only to be told that they don't normally have snow until October and hence they don't stock them until then!
As always constructive criticism is welcome.

This is my first look at the new Flickr page and I like it!
Not the best of days for a novice to try paddle boarding, the blustery wind made for a challenging time. Good fun anyway.
Never move the soul without the body, or the body without the soul, so that by defending each other, these two parts maintain their balance and health.

An older grizzly cub, walks along the top of a log by the shoreline of Chilko Lake, BC, with fall leaves and grasses in the background. Grizzly cubs stay with their moms for 3 years. This cub was probably born in the spring a couple of years ago, so it is 2 and a half years old.

This old fridge is (for some reason) strapped in this orientation to the construction fence that surrounds the M building in Minot, ND. I love the textures in this image and the layering. But I am always left wondering why that fridge is in this orientation.
Balance is not something you find, it's something you create.

These are tiny forks, used for removing the snail from the house, that's what I think.

Taken in my attempt to get a MM 'stack' shot. I couldn't get more than three high. They are so small and light and I'm too clumsy 😆
I chose to use my other photo of square beads - they were smaller and lighter but I managed to get a stack of four high!

We followed these two ( see second hawk beak at bottom ) to where they hang out. Which means we have a new morning coffee and camera sitting place.
Macro Mondays theme "Balance"
We go through our lives in a fast-paced world. Finding the perfect balance between our professional and personal life can be a daily struggle. As a result, stress became an issue in our society. Meditation and mindfulness can help. And so is the act of balancing stones. This requires our full attention, and helps us to live in the moment. And believe it or not, reduce stress. 😉
This little stack of stones measures 2 1/2" from top to bottom, including the flower.

The thrilling performance “Euphoria” by les Farfadais on the cruise ship posed a challenge for me to practise my photography skills under low light and fast action conditions, and without a tripod. But it was fun:-)
