Green light – by reemoona

Its awkward how sometimes, you feel your life stops at one point, especially when you are hurt and in pain. “I will never move on” “It will never be the same again” you keep saying that to your self. Life has the cruelest ways in making you suffer. Yet Allah never fails to make you stand on your feet, learn and move on. After all this is what life is about, to learn and take wisdom out of the experience, bad or good it was. However, in bad incidents, what makes the difference is the brutalizing pain that hits you right in the middle of your heart. You cry your head out, and ask “why?” And you say “Allah, have mercy on me for I have sinned” I know at that moment for a fact that what hits me is the doing of my hand. I shall go back and see what should I do right and Allah will praise me with patience and I shall be granted for it. Yet, what makes you suffer more is the fact that you give and give and never expect anything but love and care back. Senseless hearts, that’s it. Being senseless is the best cure for your wounded heart. “Yes, I shall do the same” you say. But I can’t. What’s really weird about it is that your self pride makes you furious and proud. Even if you are hurt. However, your heart takes you back to that nostalgic feeling and you get angry at you self. It’s very painful to have your soul shuttered between self pride and need for some one. At a moment you hate your self, but then you realize one thing. Its fate, simply, Allah’s welling. When your life crosses with someone’s life, it was meant to be. It was fate that made you cross into a certain person and be a part of his/her life and vise versa. Lucky for me, and I am not being sarcastic about it. I would never forget or leave behind a soul that crosses my heart and my life. It’s the nature of my heart and I can’t change it. I would never let go of a friend even if they turn there back’s on me and let go. Faithfulness is part of which I am, its not weakness or need. It’s all about true feelings and bonds. What binds you with one’s heart is never forgotten no matter what happens and how life distances every one away. I shall move on, yes I see the green light. I know I should walk, but I shall take you with me and hide you in my heart for I never leave a friend behind.

Pictures of the the Vanarama National League North clash at The Impact Arena between Alfreton Town & Darlington.

The game finished in a 1-1 draw in front of 727.

Quakers took the lead on 8 minutes. Styche put the Alfreton left back under pressure, the defender slipped and Styche ran into the box and coolly fired across the keeper into the net. Styche ran 80 yards to celebrate in front of the Darlo fans. it looked like Darlo might hang on to 3 crucial points until an injury time altercation in Darlo penalty area resulted i nthe dismissal of on loan custodian Taklbot and a penalty to the home side which was dispatched without delay.

THe penaltwas at the far end and in the bets Arsen Wenger style I didnt see the incident.

This point means Darlo remain in the rlegation zone a point form safety but they have stopped the recent rot. Things need to impriove. Quickly.

Did you ever have something nagging you in the back of your head? Something that says you're just on the tip of catching something but you can't quite put your finger on it?

I was on my weekly Barnes and Noble pilgrimage a month ago and noticed Stephen King had a new book out called "Under the Dome."

According to a review on Amazon.com, it's about "a small New England town is suddenly, inexplicably cut off from the rest of the world, trapping a large cast of characters inside (or outside) a huge, clear dome. As the emergency escalates, various heroes (and villains) emerge to play a part in the drama. What is the dome? Why is it there? Will the town survive?"

For some reason, that bugged me. But I couldn't place why.

Flash forward to last night. Apparently the brain cell responsible for archiving old data finally got around to retrieving the files.

Stephen King's book cover looks a hell of a lot like the "Girls" comic book by Jonathan and Joshua Luna, published way back in 2005.

The local blue Jays are usually pretty cautious about letting me get close enough for photos. On this July day however one daring risk taker decided to chance feeding at the feeder about 20 feet away from me. When the rest of his Jay friends say that nothing bad happened to him they all flew in to feed and I got some nice photos.

Today we went back to Bergen. Our vacation is over. We drove all the way in a tiny, silver car. Took a lot of ferries, and went back to work the day after. See you next year summer!

Second commission finished this week - thrifted tapestry bag. The recipient gave me a lovely Donegal tweed coat to make the back.

The button strap and button came from the sleeve of the original coat. As did the Donegal tweed label.

MSH: I live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world (Vancouver, BC), so I was tempted to use a scenic photo from Vancouver. But this is where I actually live, and there's no place like home. (I would spend way more time in the garden if I could.)
