FRAMES TO MY MUSIC VIDEO: COME BACK SPARKIN
WATCH IT HERE:
COME BACK SPARKIN is the title of this song and its music video.
SPARKIN should be spelled SPARKING, but I chose to spell it the way I pronounce it.
This is how I create language.
I grew up in urban environments and slang talk has always been my preferred way of expressing myself.
I always loved the level of creativity that could be applied to a language, and the power slang has in societies.
To COME BACK SPARKIN is to come back from a difficult situation while creating something absolutely beautiful out of it.
It is the act of overcoming an obstacle or obstacles no matter the level of difficulty.
We have the power as SuperHumans to take advantage of every situation.
In this song, I first remind myself, that I am the one who chooses to feel down or up, no one else:
No matter what i go through, it can't get me down
Go ahead, take a shot at me. All you are going to do is fuel the beast. In other words, help me excel to the next level:
I'm a Warrior at heart, kick me down !
See what happens, I COME BACK SPARKIN
Some individuals do a whole lot of talking, but their actions do not match their blah blah blah.
Or they spend most of their time talking, while never truly accomplishing and doing something about what they are talking about:
While you're barkin, I move in action !
Realising that I have no one to talk to and spending my time by myself because no one around me is real enough, or I do not relate to them:
Very lonely, no one to talk to
I gain consciousness of my HumanPower , and I choose to Keep My Head Up as Tupac told us.
Keep My Head Up, as I walk through
Dark tunnels, with no light dude
I then realize who I am: I'm the Light Myself.
This is the path of the Warrior. Check out Warrior of Light by Paolo Coehlo if you don't understand this.
I then invite those that feel the way I do to listen to me because I live it like you, and I am uplifting myself.
So join me, and we can lift ourselves together.
Listen to my music, if you need help
Coz I give you energy
The Power and the Will to overcome your enemy
When I say enemy some may think that I am talking about a person outside of themselves, but I am not:
Which is the ego, your own self
Get deeper into your self. Understand that money is a tool, and not the answer to life:
Money is a distraction
The answer to all is within you:
The True Wealth is the Inner
I am not one of those people who thinks money is evil and who does not want money.
I'm a physical being with 5 physical senses, so I enjoy things money allows me to do.
I want to be clear that this is not an anti-money campaign, it is about understanding its role and purpose in our lives.
I do not claim to have the answers, what I do is invite others to my journey.
I recorded this song 3 years ago, and so, being that I have evolved a lot since, I chose to focus this music video on these lyrics and not the remainder of the song.
They no longer apply to who I am today like they did when I wrote them.
The Art Direction of this music video is a continuation of my project THE REBIRTH in which I created an imaginary world where the unreal becomes real.
The quality of this Music Video is very poor, the camera was old and busted, so this is what it is.
I think it's cool to have the quality this fucked up because it's such a huge contrast to crisp HD imagery.
I love crisp HD quality as well :)
Lyrics:
No matter what i go through, it can't get me down
I'm a Warrior at heart, kick me down !
See what happens, I COME BACK SPARKIN
While you're barkin, I move in action !
I'm on a mission !
Very lonely, no one to talk to
Keep My Head Up, as I walk through
Dark tunnels, with no light dude
Actually, I'm The Light Myself
Listen to my music, if you need help
Coz I give you energy
The Power and the Will to overcome your enemy
Which is the ego, your own self
Money is a distraction
The True Wealth is the Inner

As previously mentioned, the attempt of a front shot of Arriva Kent & Surrey 3704 (S704 VKM) resulted in a crystal clear photo of 3734's nearside mirror with 3704 completely out of focus!
So here's a rear shot, to record it operating the 1600 service 34 to Camberley on Saturday 4th January 2014.
It's on loan from Maidstone to Guildford due to the flood at the latter's depot over Christmas.

I'm working on a self portrait series, this is a test.

even though Faye and the others begged me to stay ... alas - we couldn't ... so back to normal life :(
holidays are always too short!
Finally getting around to posting something... I've been struggling to find time to get many shots recently, due to commitments and short daylight hours. Therefore I've had a few odd shots pile up which I plan on putting up over the christmas period.
In this image, LK53EZA (33381) fronts the Taunton Depot, with another Trident, and two Olympians towards the rear. The Olympian to the left is clearly an S-AAE, however the other I believe is a P-UCW which has been sat there for a week or two now.
Hamilton Road, Taunton, 14/12/14.
Self Portrait: Mountain biking solo outback while taking a portrait of thyself, using Strobist technique, carrying all of my photography gear on my back.
Strobist Info: One bare Canon 580EX, triggered by PocketWizard Mini TT1 and FlexTT5, mounted on light duty light stand, on a Canon 50D mounted on a Manfrotto 190XPROB, 322RC2 head, actuated by remote camera trigger placed on my left hand. Camera exposure set on Manual, underexposed by two stops, flash set on ETTL, exposure compensation set at +2, located on biker right side.
If you like the shot, Id be glad to share to you how I take these photos, just follow this link:
Jasmijn went away for an extreme make-over, lol. No, this is a modified Mirwen sleepingface. I opened her eyes and this is the final result. It was a challenge though since I didn't expect that the sleeping face didn't even have the spaces in the back of the head where the eyes go. So when I got the head I didn't have a clue what to do with this. Luckily I'm not too scared using a drill or other kind of machinery so I took out the Dremel and created the spaces. The hardest part is actually to create the shape of the eyes. She turned out a bit sad but I'm happy with the result. (She will be sharing bodies with Chloe who is on her way). Hope you like her!
This photo is best at large/original because there are two kids running down the alley, which is hard to see at the medium size photo.

Check out the wife's Skydiving Video Here
I've been so busy lately with family stuff (relatives flown in and staying a few weeks) that I hadn't had a free minute to post much.
On Saturday though, I had set up, for weeks, to give Alya her surprise birthday present. She's much more adventurous than I am so I had arranged for her to go skydiving.
We packed up the car for the 4 hour trip early in the morning and she had no idea what was going to happen, other than she was in for a surprise. Unluckily for me though, my son, burdened with keeping the secret for 3 weeks, let the cat out of the bag less than 20 minutes before we arrived (never trust a 10 year old).
She was super excited about it and had a blast. I shot a little video and a bunch of stills (with my brand spankin new EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II). I did hire a videographer to shoot her jump though as I'm far too adjusted to live on Earth to jump myself. Aside from some motion sickness when the chute deployed, she loved it. Who's the greatest husband ever???
