To contrary belief I am not dead. I simply took a large leave from simming. But, I am back and with that I bring my new sim (isn't she a lovely).
I would like to apologize to anyone I may have inconvenienced with my leaving, I know I was just beginning in one contest and towards the end of another and disappeared. For that I am deeply sorry. But I had some pretty difficult sh*t happen in my life in one consecutive block. And it took a large toll on all my hobbies, including simming. But I missed the community so much I decided to comeback.
Hopefully everyone still loves me and I am still welcome.

Hi friends.
Na twee weken Portugal ben ik weer veilig op Schiphol geland.
Helaas was dat met één stuk bagage minder dan toen ik vertrok.
In de tweede week, mijn tweede dag in Lissabon, is mijn complete fotorugzak met inhoud (waarde circa 4.500 euri) me op slinkse wijze afhandig gemaakt. Babbeltruc e.d. iets waarvan je altijd denkt "zoiets zal mij nooit overkomen". Wel dus.
Gelukkig had ik mijn kleine Canon s90 gewoon in mijn borstzak en had ik mijn eerste volle 8GB kaart van de 40D ergens anders bewaard.
Flink balen natuurlijk.
De boel was wel apart verzekerd maar heb je op zo'n moment niets aan natuurlijk.
Ik heb voorlopig allemaal zoveel te regelen dat ik voorlopig nog niet dagelijks hier te vinden zal zijn.
Sacred Kingfisher (todiramphus sanctus) -- back in Braidwood after winter. I've only seen this individual so far -- perhaps still waiting for a mate.

Let's go back to Bordeaux!
While living in Bordeaux for over a year the weather was pretty bizarre at times, well to me anyways. You had no idea if it was going to rain or not. It'll be a beautiful sunny day and within minutes the clouds would roll in fast and soak the cities streets. Just enough to water the crops, but for me just enough to blanket the streets with a perfect reflective surface, with a perfect bright blue sky. These where my favourite times to capture Bordeaux because I'm a sucker for reflections and well.....blue skies!
This is one of the nicest theatres in all Europe. It's called Grand Theatre and is a stunning achievement in architecture. I used to pass this striking building at least a couple times a week as it was just three blocks away from my apartment and every time I passed it I felt like I was seeing it for the first time. It's such a beautiful piece of architecture and I love it and miss it.

the area behind the pond is planted up with a mix of primula denticulata or drumstick primulas primula vialii primula veris or cowslip foxgloves and scabious
the euonyumus fortunie emerald and gold is starting to regrow after it's heavy pruning in front of that is Achilles with chives front of the pond in front of the pond and is about to flower hidden behind that is is Helianthemum golden Queen also known as a Rock rose also is echinacea sensation pink just starting to come through behind the chives added along the back edge of the pond is some ajuga in both variegated and a purple leaved forms the they is a teasel far right that seems to be growing about 6 inches a week

Alright, I'm going back to working on my Chicago photos. I'm in St. Louis now. I don't like it here. I don't feel like looking at any of the crappy photos I took today, so, I'm working on my Chicago stuff from last week. Ya got a problem with that?
