Love this photo of buses for the Brockport, New York Central School lined up behind a Monroe County Sherrif's 1957 Chevy.
Another one of the district's late '40's Mack E-model Superior buses is in the lead with more contemporary Oneida buses behind. Note near new Mack B-model in the center with a mid-1950's GMC at the rear.
One of the best looking classy trucks ever made, my opinion. Newer Mack engine and newer air/spring rears.
The service vehicle Peugot dwarfed by the two oil field Macks.
This series of pictures was taken by my father in 1964 when on a trip with my grandfather who drove for Western Transport.
Handsome Mack B-model chassis with Oneida body wears the number 26 for the Rush-Henrietta Central District in Upstate NY. It is seen outside the high school in this 1960 photo and was likely near new at the time. In the background is an older brother, an early 1950's Mack A-model with Oneida body.
On the back of the box shows the tractor without the implements attached. This allows the use of any fan-made implements e.g. trailer, mower, etc.

This is my "whatif" what if the movie Convoy was made a few years earliar using a B model Mack instead of the R model. The truck has a resin cab, engine and wheels with a frame made from wood. Also the sleeper is scratchbuilt from referance from the actual restored/replica truck. The trailer is made from a piece of wood and a donor suspension. The rest of the bits are scratchbuilt. The actual survivng trailer was restored along with the replica R model Mack and now resides in St Louis.
This Truck was one of many on display at Allora for the Australia Day Rally 2007. Allora is between Toowoomba and Warwick on the Darling Downs in Queensland.
B Model Mack post processed with Topaz Simplify, Clean and Lens Effects
This is an old B Model that my brother (professional truck driver) bought so he and his son could restore it. Since it was one of the first trucks he drove he had a soft spot in his heart for it.
Engine: Mack Magnadyne EN-401 six cylinder gas

Again, I took these photos back in 1993 right before the auction.
The driver will probably have to get a lift home...

Part of the Western Transport display at the Queensland Transport Museum, Gatton. Well worth a look if you get the chance.
