This is a modification of my alternate build of the LEGO 10278 Police Station - the corner building „The Daily Press“- I built in November 2021, since I recognised that I wasn't able to display the original corner building in the shelf in my living room properly.
This new non corner version is also built only with bricks from the LEGO 10278 Police Station. It's built a bit less tricky than the original building, but nevertheless I think I like it a bit better than the other one. Don't know exactly why – perhaps because I don't have to choose between the two facades but have them next to each other.
Of course there are also building instructions available reb.li/m/97319

The Daily Press - Modular Newspaper Print Shop.
Alternate build (b model) for the LEGO 10278 Police Station.

I used 2735 of the 2903 parts of the LEGO Police Station.
The ground floor of the main building contains a press room with an old newspaper printing press, in the first floor there is the editorial office and on the second floor lives the owner in a small apartment with roof terrace.
In the smaller neighboring building there is a flower shop on both floors (with room for growing and caring the plants upstairs).

One of Island Block Lumber's Mack B-model mixers (probably a B-53S) pours concrete at the building site of Onteora Central School in Boiceville, New York, 1967.
Bus number 42 of Oxford, NY Central's fleet takes center stage in this 1964 photo. It was a circa 1960 B-173 International with Oneida body. Parked behind it is a circa 1953 or '54 International R-163 with an Oneida body.

mid-1950's International R-1853 Oneida
mid-1950's GMC S-450 Wayne

1959 or '60 International B-173 Thomas
1958 or '59 GMC S-370 with possibly a Thomas or Superior body
This series of pictures was taken by my father in 1964 when on a trip with my grandfather who drove for Western Transport.
If you are interested in finding out more about Western Transport, visit the Queensland Museum of Transport in Gatton, near Toowoomba, Queensland. One of these rigid Macks is restored and spends a fair bit of time there.
I saw this and I just HAD to get a picture! It's not often that I see an old Mack B model truck in the middle of a work zone. I was simply stunned and amazed. What a beautiful truck!
If you want to use this image, ask permission PRIOR to use. Don't be a thief - under most circumstances, I'm quite reasonable.

This unrestored Mack wrecker looked like it could move a mountain with all the winches on it.

Love this photo of buses for the Brockport, New York Central School lined up behind a Monroe County Sherrif's 1957 Chevy.
Another one of the district's late '40's Mack E-model Superior buses is in the lead with more contemporary Oneida buses behind. Note near new Mack B-model in the center with a mid-1950's GMC at the rear.
One of the best looking classy trucks ever made, my opinion. Newer Mack engine and newer air/spring rears.
The service vehicle Peugot dwarfed by the two oil field Macks.

Handsome Mack B-model chassis with Oneida body wears the number 26 for the Rush-Henrietta Central District in Upstate NY. It is seen outside the high school in this 1960 photo and was likely near new at the time. In the background is an older brother, an early 1950's Mack A-model with Oneida body.
