Arrived a bit early for work today, so nipped round to the Quays and got a shot of another day dawning on the BBC...

Interesting textures from the side of the BBC Pacific Quay in Glasgow, Scotland. I had got the idea of shooting interesting, long patterns on buildings like this from a fellow photographer during a NYC shoot.

Glasgow had an "Open Doors Day" over the weekend with access to buildings normally closed off to the public. One building was the new BBC Scotland headquarters.

While not exactly a beautiful building, it certainly is impressive. The interior is a hollow structure, all concrete and steel, with a large stepped smaller building inside which looks rather like an Escher drawing. The studios are apparently underneath this bit.

This was taken with a 10-20mm lens at its widest setting. I used photoshop's perspective correction to straighten the edges.
