Contrary to what the BBC say Western Australia is almost empty of people and not a cabana in sight!

TODAY FIRST DAY BBC NEW HOME 28-11-2011

Finally getting a chance to watch 'The Hour' on BBC America. After a couple episodes I'm hooked! I really hope they are doing a second season...this show is too good to only do one season. I'm kind of obsessed with Dominic West right now after seeing this and 'Appropriate Adult' on Sundance recently. 'The Wire' is next on my list to check out.

The staircase which leads up to the Great Hall was used for the arrival scene for new Hogwarts students in the first two Harry Potter films.

A popular-beat combo called U2 performed from the roof of British

Broadcast House of the BBC next to All Souls Church in Central London

last week. Seeing a short clip on TV reminded me of anothercoffee

meeting where this photo was taken. As the pop video camera swung

around the Irish performers playing to fans from their roof stage, I

recalled this magic space above the bustling streets where the surprise

is not musical but urban.

Nusfjord, Lofoten, Norway

It took me three days and three nights to finally land this bugger! It swung, it turned, it snowed, but just like Chief Brody, I finally got a clean shot at this SOB monster of a fish and finally got him!

The townsfolk of Nusfjord can finally relax that the terrors of the deep are no more!

If you go, don’t forget to pay your respects to Quint Waidson who succumbed to the jaws of this devil fish… may his soul rest in peace down by the lighthouse.

The BBC & Pharos Trust confirmed that the LV18 was to play host to Pirate BBC Essex at Harwich Docks from 12th to 14th August 2017.

14th August this year marked the 50th anniversary of the Marine Offences Act which ended the reign of the pirate broadcasters in 1967, although Radio Caroline continued until 3rd March 1968.

The broadcast over the August weekend culminated with a unique link up with a Radio Caroline

Sometimes referred to as the “Hospital Loch” this man made lochan was created by Lord Strathcona with the intention of making his Canadian wife feel more at home in Scotland. Sadly for him this plan failed and the couple later emigrated to Canada.
