Thanks to George Pitarys and some prior knowledge from my pervious chase I calculated that after failing to catch the BKRR I could probably get the B&R comfortably at East Dorset, a location that George and Don showed me last time. I headed northward, and as I was around Mt. Tabor I saw the headlight! yes!!! Preparing to see a blue leader (I would have kept going and said hell with it at that point), I was relieved to see 431 leading. Here they are again after grabbing lunch passing through the small New England-esque town, complete with a micro-post office and church.

The murder of 17-year-old Brenda Evans, found dead in a remote rural location south of Chester, was never solved. She was murdered on October 7, 1977, while on her lunch-break from the local post office and general stores where she worked. As part of her usual daily routine she had walked half a mile to her uncle and aunt’s house for something to eat and then bid them goodbye before setting off back to work. But postmaster Samuel Roberts was surprised she did not return at the usual time and when Brenda’s mum called in at the shop that afternoon she became concerned. Friends and neighbours began to search along the route she would normally have taken. It was her fiancé’s mother Edith Pritchard who made the grim discovery in the woods. Brenda had been strangled with her own tights and dumped down a 12ft manhole - just 500 yards from a field where her fiancé, 20-year-old farm worker John Pritchard, had been cutting hedges that afternoon. Mr Pritchard was questioned for 27 hours and was not released from police bail for four weeks but was never charged. This is Brenda’s aunt’s house.
On 11/11/09 (Remembrance Day), my beloved "baby" brother Laurence ( ex '1 Para' and 17 years my junior) would/should have been 50 years old this year. Sadly, we laid him to rest on 9/11/07 - two days before his 48th birthday on 11/11/07 - Remembrance/Armistice Day

To the left, former DB locomotive 90040 (retaining its red livery) is paired with Powerhaul liveried 90042 in a view that illustrates the locomotives’ buffers and screw coupling. At the opposite platform a Dellner coupling joins 801103 and 800207 to form 1E21, LNER’s 1322 Edinburgh - Kings Cross, diverted through the Border city due to engineering work north of Newcastle.

I composed this shot from the coast path above Mevagissey harbour - to lead down towards the lighthouse.
A Lee Big Stopper took the edge off the waves, simplifying the scene to draw attention to the main subject - the path and breakwater wall (I would have used an ND filter with less stops if I had one - to reduce the ISO)
The shot is made up of three focus-stacked exposures for front-to-back sharpness.
