I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

one of the early shots I took with the 400D. It was a foggy and cold morning at Monkey Creek. Heading out there again this weekend actually so hopefully the weather is kind (and interesting) ;-)

The Thrill Is Gone by B. B. King (1993)
My word is 'breathe' for Me Again Monday.
It's a word I am hearing and thinking of a lot lately. In prenatal yoga we are learning to breathe through those tough poses with the motivation of birthing our babies to keep us going...when I feel stressed or hormonal I remind myself to take pause and breathe . And of course when one is by the sea....*inhales* you breathe in that wonderful air and then sleep better for it.
Today being Labour day here in the states we had lunch with friends and then in the afternoon went to 'Gray Whale Cove beach' in Pacifica. There was a lot of moving fog around today...yesterday was sunny so probably hot in the valley so it's expected...but not cold and this beach even had a few nudie men behind a rock down the far end of the beach. Robin and I had gone there first , turned the corner by the rocks and went 'uh erm oh look a seagull ' as there was a ''full moon' surprise on all fours O_O
Happy Me Again Monday everyone!
O is for Ocean // Slow {down and breathe } for ODC ^_^
Poor Peter, until he developed his film he would not know he had clipped the buffer beam of 45184.
His camera was a twin lens reflex, 6x6cm format. The view finder gives a reversed image so a train which you know is approaching from the right appears from the left in the camera, in the heat of the moment it is easy to instinctively swing the wrong way. I suspect Peter wanted the class 103 DMU in the frame, saw the Black Five approaching, panicked, and hit the shutter button.
He was at the London end of platform 1, a platform which was in a very sorry state of disrepair.
On the horizon is the Central Technical College in Suffolk Street, a splendid Victorian red building opened in 1890. It was demolished to make way for the Inner Ring Road.
Peter is not alone! On my very first railway photographic day I went to Sonning Cutting with a friend, I had a Minolta Autocord TLR, which was hopeless for moving subjects, all those lovely Westerns and Hymeks I photographed were either blurred or out of frame.
It was the determination to put matters right that started a 50 year involvement with rail photography,
45184 was a Stanier Black 5 5MT, it was built at Armstrong Whitworth and entered service in September 1935. The loco was withdrawn 18/09/1965 and cut in January 1968
