Another ex-First Scania L94UB Wright Axcess Floline in the ConnexionsBuses fleet, S574 TPW came from Eastern Counties (66574) and is at Queen Street in York running HCT service 13 to Copmanthorpe. This has also been in the Northampton fleet... though the 'PW' registration suffix originates from South Wales, which means this bus does fit in with other vehicles which have been with Connexions in the past and have originated from Newport Transport. This particular bus is one of the lesser-papped members of the fleet, possibly because it normally runs on school duties in Harrogate. This afternoon it has come to York in order to replace a Solo on the 13 - there had been two Solo's on the 13 today as an overnight theft of diesel and batteries meant several vehicles were out of action on Tuesday morning; staff ingenuity in pulling resources in addition to A&A Coach Travel next door helpfully lending a vehicle to cover some duties meant that more buses were up and running in the afternoon.

I did want to get an offside photo of this as there wouldn't have been the glare from the streetlights - I got to the other side of the road and in the back of my mind knew that in the following few seconds a car wishing to turn right into Blossom Street would come along and occupy lane 2 thus blocking the chance of an offside photo, and that's exactly how it played out.

...no not about the hotel! First Potteries all Leyland Olympian G755XRE (30031) is seen leading a line of traffic midway through the climb up Etruria Road/Trinity Street to Hanley town centre on a 34A, the more typical traction for this and the inter-working 20A route can be seen in the background. To still be going strong at nearly 24 years old these must truly be a sign of 'quality', as for the hotel I have no comment, 06/07/2013.

First Manchester Limited 61140 S105 CSG, a Scania L94UB built 1998 with a Wright Axcess-Floline B40F body on Manchester Road in Bury by the Parliament Street junction followed by First Manchester Limited 60245 W339 JND, a Mercedes-Benz O.530 Citaro with a B41F body built 2000 with a Bury Interchange to Bolton bus station via Radcliffe and Little Lever 524 service and First Manchester Limited 12015 YN05 GYR, a Scania OmniCity N94UA with an AB58D body built 2005 with a Bury Interchange to Manchester Piccadilly Gardens via Whitefield, Heaton Park and Cheetham Hill 135 service. Saturday 23rd June 2012

Note, S105 CSG was originally operated by Yorkshire Rider Limited as number 8105 and after then being operated by at least Northampton Transport Limited, Leicester CityBus Limited and First Manchester Limited it was with First Potteries Limited as number 61140 when First Potteries Limited’s Birkenhead, Chester and Wrexham depot operations, including S105 CSG were transferred to First Manchester Limited on 27th March 2011

S105 CSG was probably running empty but could possibly have been working a Bury Interchange to Bolton bus station via Radcliffe and Little Lever 524 service with an incorrectly set destination

former Firstgroup First Leeds / West Yorkshire 61066, Scania L113CRL Wright Axcess Ultralow R452 JSG was new to Yorkshire Rider as 8452. Back in the day, this operated 'Superbus' routes with guide wheels attached for the guided bus lanes of Leeds; its last use in public service was with ConnexionsBuses of Tockwith (see some of my photos), but more recently has been purchased for preservation by Matthew Thompson and Josh Bickerstaffe, today with Chris Thompson driving

This bus was new to First in Edinburgh as 506.

Seen here on Princes Street.

Two Scania L113CRL Wright Axcess Ultralow's new to Yorkshire Rider (8452 and 8454), R452 JSG and R454 JFS are seen parked together at the HCT yard near Tockwith now owned by ConnexionsBuses.

New to Yorkshire Rider in July 1999, T428GUG is now just a handful of Floline bodied L94UB's within the First Leeds fleet. These used to be a mainstay in the Leeds fleet during the 2000's, but are slowly being replaced with newer surplus vehicles from other operations within the First Group.

For now, 61029 is seen waiting time on York Street. (31/03/2018)

It would be nice to see one of these in the light green version of the company livery.
