Andrew.... a good friend was unlucky to lose his job with "The Little Red Bus" company in Harrogate following the companies demise. He was fortunate enough to get another bus driving job quite quickly with Connexionsbuses and is seen here in Harrogate looking very very happy.......
Cheers Andrew...... your smile really cheered me up and lifted my spirits

Well it looks unfortunately like its the end of the road for 62396 after a few years of relatively trouble free service. It was the only L113 working here and prob the last we will ever have.......but never say never when you deal with first! Update (5/10/13) this bus has now left deans depot for disposal.
Seen here returning to Rock Ferry depot after operating route 2. I put 2 on the display for the photo as it looks better than not in service. This bus passed from First through the Chester and Wirral takeover. ex First 60211

New to Coach Services, Thetford
The first Scania to join the fleet, purchased in 2003 for use on the short-lived X34 service to Daventry. It first entered service as number 140, but would be renumbered 80 when the new batch of Scanias arrived in 2005. It was out of use with fire damage when Arriva took over and was moved to the Watford workshop where it languished for a very long time before returning to service in corporate livery.
This Scania L113CRL/Wright Axcess Ultralow is photographed here in Stagecoach Merseyside and South Lancashire's Back Gillmoss Lane depot in Gillmoss. The bus has been withdrawn from Stagecoach Chester's fleet and is awaiting its fate. This bus sports First's "Chester Park & Ride" livery.

Leaving Harrogate with an HCT service X70 to Wetherby (then 870 to Knaresborough and back to Harrogate) is Scania L113CRL Wright Axcess Ultralow N414 ENW. A remarkable survivor, this bus was new in late 1995 to Rider York for Park and Ride duties as fleet number 8414 in a distinctive 2-tone blue livery and was one member in the very first full batch of low floor buses for Yorkshire. Along with later additions as the P&R operation expanded, this stayed in York for 7 years until 2002 when the entire singe decker York fleet had been replaced by inferior Volvo B7L's and B6BLE's - this bus moved to Potteries for a while beofre settling in the Leeds fleet. A rear-end collision almost spelled the end for this, however the decision was made to rebuild and repair to keep it in use. Upon reentering service with Firstgroup, it had been given the new Olympia livery and at the time was the oldest bus in passenger service to gain the livery. Withdrawn in late summer 2014, it was feared this would make a one-way trip to Barnsley - but instead was saved by Craig Temple of ConnexionsBuses; initially bought for preservation, a full inspection revealled it's condition was simply too good for it to not see a bit more use in service for now. So it has beenr epainted into fleet livery, minus fleetnames, and is getting a bit of use around their network (though eventually it'll settle for use on schools).
It's original Yorkshire Rider fleetnumber can be seen to the nearside of the destination display.

New to the First PMT fleet, this Scania L113CRL, Wright Axcess Ultralow was one of three examples (R871-3 ERE) purchased for the Upton Park & Ride contract in Chester. On what could be described as its twilight years, this example carries its years well, looking well presented in Barbie 3 livery. R873 ERE is found on Frodsham Street in Chester having just negotiated the bus lane transponder it is operating on the cross border service 16 Chester to Saltney on a fine September day in 2012. Fast forward two months for the announcement that the Chester and Wirral operations had been sold to Stagecoach, the transition expecting to be complete by the end of 2012.
