First Scania L94UB/Wright Axcess Floline 65574.S574TPW in Bridge Street, Northampton on the 5th July 2012.

When pic was taken her fleet no. was 173,around 2002 on Chorley road.

Two Code 3 adaptions of First Bus within Glasgow. The Wright Scania Axcess in “Barbie” livery involved simple cosmetic adaptions, and applications of appropriate water slide transfers.

The Dart SLF in red was a true “Code 3” as the model was dismantled, received interior decoration, the body was resprayed before rebuilding and applying transfers and minor exterior painting such as lights.

Now presented as First Greater Glasgow and First Kelvin, taking over from KCB Network which grew from Kelvin Central Buses from Kelvin Scottish and Central Scottish post-deregulation

Seen here at St James Retail Park on the Horseshoe route X70/780/X1 - I had a couple of runs on it!

62309 was one of the very last L113's to be delivered to Midland Bluebird in 1998 and indeed one of the lfinal examples to be built before production started on the L94. Having outlived all of Glasgow's similar examples, this Scania is now one of a handful that remain operational.

These were from the last batch of vehicles delivered in Eastern Counties red and creme colours and were branded for the 'Superoute88' services. They seemed and astronomical leap forward from Leyland Nationals and VRs- I was a big fan, and in fact I still am- very nice vehicles indeed!

Previously First Manchester

Despite its Scottish registration this ageing Scania actually started its life with Yorkshire Rider before coming to the Potteries a few years ago to join the assortment of vehicles of a similar vintage and from all corners of the country that make up the operational fleet. R438ALS (60075), which is a Scania L113CRL with Wright Axcess-Ultralow bodywork, is seen here between the villages of Endon and Brown Edge whilst working an 8A, 05/07/2013.

ConnexionsBuses S801 SJV is a Scania L94 Wright Axcess Floline which has previously been with Lincolnshire Road Car and then Stagecoach - seen here leaving Harrogate bus station with the HCT route X1 to Knaresborough, a commercial service competing against Transdev... and presumably due to how the services are timetabled to comete, the destination 'via' line includes the text "we lead, others follow".

This bus will be the first or second vehicle to be withdrawn from service once for ex-Eddie Brown Wright Solar's have been repainted and are put into service.

Glasgow Bus Station is sufficiently busy to require banksmen - R342SUT is assisted out of its bay on departure.

The fleets of South Lancs Travel and Strawberry were merged together during January 2012. The combined operation is run from the South Lancs base in Atherton with the Strawberry identity retained for St Helens services.

Strawberry 65 is seen in Ormskirk before working a service to St Helens on route 319. The legal lettering in the side window shows the trading names for both South Lancs and Strawberry but only the address for South Lancs. Also, note the South Lancs Travel lettering under the Strawberry logo on the front.

The weekend at the beginning of August saw Connexions Buses take over route 13 from main York operator, First. After years of cuts, the route between Copmanthorpe and Haxby has seen a revitalization with the frequency increased to two buses an hour.

Skulking in the shadows next to the war memorial in Copmanthorpe is T562 BSS, an ex First Leeds Scania that now provides sterling frontline service across the Green and White network.

Many of the customers had nothing but praise for the first week of service from Connexions, something nice to hear where complaints are all but too common for certain operators.

Note, S105 CSG was originally operated by Yorkshire Rider Limited as number 8105 and after then being operated by at least Northampton Transport Limited, Leicester CityBus Limited and First Manchester Limited it was with First Potteries Limited as number 61140 when First Potteries Limited’s Birkenhead, Chester and Wrexham depot operations, including S105 CSG were transferred to First Manchester Limited on 27th March 2011

UPDATE 28/11/14: 61069 was withdrawn back in July, it was last seen sat at Bramley depot a few weeks ago. It's quite likely this bus will be scrapped in the near future.

UPDATE 18/03/15: 61069 was sold to Harrogate Coach Travel (Connexions Buses) back in late 2014/early 2015. Due to being stored outside at Bramley depot, the environment had taken a toll on 61069, and when sold to HCT, it was in such a state it was sent to Geoff Ripley scrappers shortly after arriving.
