In 1967 Volkswagen added a version with a semi-autoatic transmission to the Beetle range. It was coupled with the 1.5 litre engine at first.

And the last catch from the event is this. A South African import based on the Opel Rekord D. Possibly converted to LHD as they were almost the same apart from the engines.

Die Kamera ist von ca 1971, also ca 50 Jahre alt, mit einem erstklassigen Objektiv, dem Hexanon 38mm 1:2.8 (4 Elemente in 3 Gruppen) und einem Copal B Verschluß ausgestattet, die Geschwindigkeiten reichen von 1/30-1/650. Der Sucher ist ein mit der Scharfstellung gekoppelter Meßsucher, die Kamera also eine der begehrten "Range Finder" Apparate. Die original benötigten Batterien gibt es nicht mehr, weil sie Quecksilber beinhalteten, man kann aber sehr gut normale Hörgeräte Batterien Zink/Luft 1,4 Volt nutzen. Die halten nicht allzu lange, sind aber sehr günstig und dazu fast überall, sogar im kleinen Supermarkt erhältlich. Die Kamera neigt bei sehr hellem Tageslicht leicht zur Überbelichtung, dem kann man, wenn man's weiß, aber gut entgegen arbeiten.Sie bei dem Schneechaos einzusetzen war nicht geplant, aber die Kamera war geladen in meiner Fototasche. Ich war aus Düsseldorf gekommen und hatte dort normale Wetterverhältnisse erlebt.

They don't last very long, but are very cheap and available almost everywhere, even in small supermarkets.
Made in USA , 1962-1966 . For 35mm film . Camera similar to the Kodak Automatic 35B , but with hinged reflector and socket for AG-1 bulbs .

Automatic and supposedly only 4,000 miles from new, with 2,000 since 2006. It certainly looks fantastic, not a spec of dust anywhere!

LENINGRAD 1956 1968 70000 produced. 35mm 24x 36 rangefinder. Motorised blind shutter giving three frames per second .
Looking east on the New York & Greenwood Lake from the Belleville Turnpike bridge in Kearny, NJ. The signals are not original to the line. They were imported after the consolidation of the Erie and the Lackawanna.
Just beyond the signals are a series of washouts dating back to Hurricane Sandy.
