this poured concrete water trough is all that's left (except for some junk and parts of a broken iron tub) of a home and barn in the woods off Roaring Brook Road in Conway, MA.
Took this when everyone was taking pictures of the dogs. I really just liked the contrast between the grass, the color of the bike, and how empty the shot felt set against the urban background.
Me and my group went to The T station to take pictures of people getting on and off the train. There are SO many leading lines in that station, all intersecting in beautiful shades of white, black, and silver. I also like that the woman going down the stairs is wearing a striped shirt, only adding to the riot of lines surrounding her.
Using quick selection tool, created new levels for 2 selections - 1. yellow light (just the circle), 2. buildings/lamps.
Light enhancements:
1. Brightness +150
2. Exposure +1
3. Hue/Saturation: Master Saturation +30
Building/lamps enhancements:
1. Vibrance/Saturation 40/100
Background enhancements:
1. Replace color - selected color in the clouds that made up more than 50% of the sky , Adjusted Lightness +70
2. Curves - selected set sample in image to white point, selected spot in clouds again. Adjusted:
RGB Output 215, Input 225
Blue Output 19, Input 177
Once blended, light was too bright so reduced Brightness -30 to make it look more realistic.
As my group was rounding the corner I saw this little guy walking with his parents, sister, and grandparents. I love that he and his grandfather are just barely touching and his grandmother is reaching out her hand to him. Meanwhile, up ahead, his dad and sister are holding hands.If you look at the reflection you can see his mom turning around to see if he is following everyone.
