As you drive up the hill, you'll see Burroughs Road on your left. The likelihood of seeing a car at the turn-off is slim. I have visited Slabsides many times over the past 40+ years and except for organized events, I have met very few people. Enjoy the solitude.

Approaching Louisiana from Texas on a recent flight, I captured this rainbow.... The strange thing is that it was only visible through a polarizing filter.... Beautiful none the less!

When looking at this wall of windows, I find a similar effect - is the wall receding or approaching? The water stains which descend from the vertical dividers seem to create confusion in my mind about where they stop.
The original building is a dull grey. I pushed the white balance to make it gold.
