Approaching De Grafelijke Torenmolen (Count's tower mill) at Zeddam south-east of Arnhem in the Netherlands, the second mill we visited with our hosts from Windesheim. It dates from the 15th century and is the oldest working windmill in the Netherlands.

Holgate Windmill, York (UK), is twinned with the windmill at Windesheim, near Zwolle in the Netherlands. A group from York visited Windesheim and spent two days with our hosts, who took us to see several other mills in the region.

My train approaches Danforth Station on December 24, 1998. This picture is signifigant for several reasons, one of which, not only is the train approaching, out of range of this shot, some man jumped off the bridge. The train didn't hit him, but there were emergency services around the site not long after the train departed. The jumper survived. To the left was the remnants of CN's Danforth Yard. It was recently (as of the date this pic was shot) used to store AMT's new single level cars that GO Transit retired. Today the yard has been ripped up and something is developing on it.

Holland America Line use a pragmatic approach to onboard TV: there are some satellite stations, but every stateroom also features a DVD player, and you can "rent" movies from the ship's library.

What you see on the screen is one of the two special programs: a camera is fitted to both the stern and the bow of the ship, providing passengers with an awesome view of where the ship is going, or whence it's coming from.

While in port, you can see which ship is "parking" in front of you.
