Winter time as I approach the top of Dutch Miller Gap. The snow was around calf deep off the trail and due to the depth of the trail it was mid-thigh on the trail when I broke through.

I have today off from work, so I'm heading back to LVZ. My camera has also asked to visit a nearby sunflower field. We'll see if it's in full blossom!

Towboat and a "Tow" of 12 barges entering what is known as Big Bend on the Mississippi River. I really enjoyed watching them negociating the tight corner...even though I've seen it many times.'

A staple of Carl Franz trips is to have a runby with photographers (safely positioned) inside the 900 - foot long Brush Tunnel, getting everybody FILTHY in the process. It's a lot of fun - once. Here the 734 is approaching.

A hot and sunny weekend at the Delaware beaches ended Sunday with an approaching cold front, bringing in thunder storms. The approaching storminess was evident late this afternoon at Cape Henlopen State Park.
Entering the port of Marstrand from the northern approach. You got Koön on the left side and the Marstrand island on the right side.
1st May 2018. Hunslet 0-6-0ST No.7 [works no.2705 from 1945] Beatrice emerges from the A59 bridge with a Bolton Abbey to Embsay service train. The railway is part of the Embsay And Bolton Abbey Steam Railway.
Bound for the Loop and Harlem/Lake, a CTA Green Line train approaches Garfield station on the oldest part of the Chicago elevated- the South Side "Alley L"- dating to 1893.
This weekend in San Francisco, CALTRANS is closing and demolishing Doyle Drive, the ancient and crumbling freeway approach to the Golden Gate Bridge. Last December I approached the contractor with my work shot in the Presidio Pet Cemetery underneath the new freeway, and asked for access to shoot the freeway construction. Much to my surprise, they said yes!
Walking up the new roadway towards the brand new Battery Tunnel. The elevated freeway on the right, Doyle Drive, will be demolished this weekend–with the traffic transferred to this new surface.
