Due to the problems of me working slowly like I usually do, due to my nature of taking things slowly, and the save corruption I had at the skinning process, I had to draw back on my ambitious vision of my first storyboard, with making two models, one fully rigged the other being a teddy bear, either going to be lightly rigged or blend shaped to move slightly to a 25 second clip.

I fell back to only animating the neck up, and working on the 2nd storyboard I made that involves one character talking to himself, but having the camera move to make it look like he’s talking to someone else off screen, this is done by having the transition of everything animating being completely different one frame later as the camera moves instantly in one frame, a little jarring to the viewer, but just a little trick to have an editing point where there is no edit, so I don’t need to use any film editing software and split scenes up.

Sadly disappointed in not be able to do the more exotic storyboard idea, as I always challenge myself in animation mainly because it’s my strength and wanted to show off and fully rigged animation, interacting with a fuzzy textured object.

Although, now thinking about it, it probably didn’t focus on the face of the character that much, and me rushing at the end is probably due to making a fully modelled and rigged character in the first place as everyone else focused on a neck up character, when I could have easily done the same and if I wanted to continue the work of the model over summer, I could easily, re-skin and rig and made a full body, but I guess I thought wrong about over 12 weeks to work on a fully detailed model would be enough to give some flair.

There wasn’t much problems, although I had quite a bit of trouble trying to make a ‘N’ or “De” sound from the mouth, mainly I think it’s because the tongue is extremely active in those expressions and I had a lack worthy amount of blend shapes for the tongue and would definitely make De and N blend shapes for the mouth and tongue next time.

Lastly, within render, due to having a lack of experience with after effects and how syncing audio works, I had problems with the sound, but hopefully I sorted it out, by changing the audio over to Mp3 instead of wav and adjusting the place of the audio on the timeslider a bit, so I only think the “No I meant cake” was a little off but that can be because I couldn’t mouth N sounding words so it’s a little off.

Snow White was the exhibit when I was here.

This is another animation tutorial. It is a heart beating. This animation was easier than the basketball animation because all you had to do is make a heart with the shape tool and duplicate it 3 times. After that, I resized each heart 5% less each time. So one is full size, one is 95%, one is 90%, and the last is 85%. Then I opened the animation window and deleted the original layer (background). Then I duplicated each layer once to make it look like the heart is beating.

This tutorial was much easier than the basketball animation because I didn't have to move anything, I just resized the % to whatever it had to be. I liked this animation but it was too simple.

Teens throughout Madison had the opportunity to participate in hands-on media workshops including video game design, stop motion animation, and book trailers. Programs were conducted in libraries, schools, detention centers and other partner organizations throughout 2014.

Chris Sanders commented that Ward Kimball's musical number on "The 3 Caballeros" would be a big supply of inspiration for him. And also the factor that Mike Mitchell appreciated giving him inspiration was the communal facet of creativeness within the animation studio program at CalArts. Something which made everybody smile was Goldberg speaking about creating a story. He stated that in older days you so that you can tell a tale in 2 minutes because which was the size of a typical super-8 film reel.

Kevin Lima related being inspired because nowadays students could make a whole animated film by her or himself. Also, he pointed out that whenever creating a film you ought to strive to find away out to really make it fun, to re-affix to a person's inner 14-years old. He spoken about not receiving bogged lower with details. Details can eat you alive. One helpful trick he suggested is to place your image up before one and have a look in internet marketing this can help the thing is the large picture by seeing your image new again for any moment. Also, he pointed out how as he makes films he attempts to draw upon moments from real existence to assist tell the storyline, and never always return to the touchstone animated films.

Eric Goldberg, most likely probably the most experienced 2D animation studio around the panel, pointed out that traditional hands-attracted concepts were essential to learn, which even though the hi-tech tools are essential today, you ought to always remember the foundational aspects the new technology draws upon. Pete Docter also pointed out that art is ultimately an expression from the artist inside, and one should know who the first is to inform a tale in the easiest way.

An enjoyable moment was once they spoken regarding their beginning making student animation studio. A couple of from the panelists, a lot of whom have directed big-budget animated features, related how within their student films, they'd do such things as staying away from showing the legs simply because they could not result in the walk look right. Or how in stop-motion they'd only show the smoothness in the waist up so that they could slide the figures over the set without getting to ensure they are walk.

A fun little animation made for my 2D Character Animation class at MICA.

This was part of a series created by the class. We each animated a bottle thrown in from the right, a character finding it, drinking from it, suffering some sort of poisonous effect, and then tossing the bottle out the left side of the frame. My animation was the last in the series, which is why the bottle breaks in the end, instead of being tossed. The whole project, with all of the class's animations was great, I wish I had gotten a copy so that I could watch it again.
