So full of angst and rebellion. That and they have no sense of fashion! ;)

Florida suffers from Irma.

The Hotel Angst was names after its owner, Adolf Angst. It was built between 1887 and 1914 and soon became one of the best hotels of the Riviera visited by Emperor Frederick of German and Queen Victoria.

After the outbreak of the First World War the Hotel's became a military hospital. After the war the 'hotel resumes its original purpose and was managed by Adolfs son. The hotel started a decline due to the changing type of tourism in the area as the tourism aristocrat had disappeared.

The hotel was again occupied during the second world war, and apparently held meetings withe Nazi and Benito Mussolini's party. The hotel was also used for refugees, and during this time became more run down and finally looted for its internal marble fixings and anything else of worth.

When myself and my brother visited a few years later we sneaked through a tiny gap in main gate at night and with only torches we walked up what would have been the main pathway to the front of the building. Im not for being scared at the first sign of a noise, but we didn't stay long as we heard a strange noise near us in the pitch black. The garden is ridiculously overgrown, with palm tress of at least 30 foot high, and when you walk up to the front of the building its very high and imposing.

When i walked up to a open window and shone a torch in its pretty freaky when you see old metal beds sitting in a corner of a room!

Horses for courses, must phone the wife

Atmosphere frosty, could cut like a knife

Phone calls and hang ups, tentative looks

She's rumbled him somehow, he reads like a book

A day at the office, he needs some time out

She'll be there and smiling, all make up and pout

He should have resisted, he should have stayed strong

A family in turmoil, he knows he's done wrong

A zoo for pedestrians all bunched in his way

London Bridge station rush hour this day

He walkS like a Zombie, a mind full of pain

Over and over the facts once again

High heels and blonde hair, she teased him, the flirt

Cleavage inviting and knee high red skirt

Bending to gather imaginary pen

Stockings, suspenders, his mind's gone again

The Taxi cabs wait and he wishes to run

Take one to somewhere where life could be fun

Monotony, mortgage, dog, kids and job

Mentally fragile, he might break down and sob

Lust and betrayal, guilt and such angst

So doting the father for which he'd no thanks

Just eaten away as the clock, callous, rolled

Feeling eighteen and yet looking so old

A moment of madness, the weakness in he

Fighting his demons though he could not break free

He'd take it all back in the blink of an eye

Yet delicious that moment, a smile forms so wry

Trainers and blue shirt, old denim jeans

He's balding so soon and the kids now in teens

Like a cancer they drown his resources bone dry

His ego inflated as she caught his eye

Self worth is a shackle and reflections mere chains

The mirror unkind when no happiness reigns

A love that had died in the annals of time

Consigned to the waste bin, so dour and resigned

To London he comes, the tedium and dread

A heart brought to life when he thought it was dead

She'll set his pulse racing as her flesh she will show

He'll follow his instincts and see where they go
